Those are nice! I'm loving the dusky purple colour.

I've never heard of / been to a Wiccaning. I'm guessing it's a Christening / naming ceremony equivalent? What happens?

I've never heard of that either, but the blessing wording is actually really nice. Smile

You do have a typo on the first page, you have "they" instead of "thy"

oh, and no offense to the girl in the goddess parents couple, but her expression cracked me up. she's supposed to smile for the camera while Xyander is crying, but it came out as an almost smile. (I'm really not busting on her, her expression just cracked me up).

Nice job!! Please of please tell us about Wiccaning!! It sounds so fascinating! I have a friend who is Wiccan, but her boys were much older when I met her and I am not sure if they had a Wiccaning.

LOL i know what you mean about the picture with the Goddess Parents.... it was the only one that they all were looking at the camera. its actually hung up in my living room too and it makes me smile whenever i see it.
oh and thanks for pointing out the typo... i didnt even notice!!

a Wiccaning is like a Christaning. A lot of my family is catholic so we looked at it and explained it as "Today we will be welcoming him into the World Family, asking for protection, guidance, and blessings for him. "
every ceremony is unique and we (the minister, my mother and i) created one just for Xyander. we called the presence of the fairies, and my maternal grandparents who passed. i also created a blessing bag for Xyander during the ceremony which contained: garlic, to avert negative energy; vervain for happiness & love of learning; clover for protection and abundance; roses for love; bread to know no hunger; water to know no thirst; and gold to know no want.
his goddess parents also presented him with gifts: patience (a clock) from his godfather and self esteem (a mirror) from his godmother.
then of course was the blessing prayer, which you saw part of in the first LO.
during the blessing prayer people were blowing bubbles which were filled with their prayers, thoughts, and hopes for Xyander.
it was a very lovely ceremony except for the fact that it was literely like 90 out that day and we were inside Sad i was dripping with sweat and X was not happy about being in his little suit.

Very nice pages! I like the background stories you shared. It might be kind of neat to include those some where (maybe hidden journaling after they are printed?)

Great LOs. Thanks for the info. I agree with Shannon that you should put the info about what was in the bag and gifts from his godparents etc either on a diff page or part of hidden journaling or something. Those are definitely things I would want to remember.

Thanks for sharing everything with us.... I too had no clue what a wiccaning was but figured it was very similar to a baptism or christening.

Love the color choice

Great pages, and thanks for sharing about the ceremony, that's neat to learn (and I like the idea of the gifts being placed on the page somewhere too!)
