Zig 2-way Glue and Cricut Mats

The glue arrived today (fast!) and I tried it on my mats. It works great!! They are like-new now. Just wanted to let you all know.

I bought some at Michael's last week so that is great to know! Did you just coat the whole area with a single coat and let it dry? I don't want to ruin my mat b/c I only have one right now.

Yes I coated the entire mat with a thin layer, let dry completely and the stickyness feels like a brand-new mat.

Yahoo Good to know Charys. I'm assuming too that you wiped it down real well before you did this too?

Can you give a little more instructions please, like what you used to wipe down the mat and then to spread the glue, also about how long did it take to dry? Thanks so much, I am going to have to try this.

Here is a link to what I'm talking about

Sorry I have had issues with PO freezing up all morning. Yes, first I wiped down my mats really well with a baby wipe, then let dry. Then I gently applied a thin layer over the entire mat, going down in strokes so I got every inch. I just used the glue applicator itself to spread the glue on top. It's a sponge-like applicator, so works perfectly for it. I let my mats air dry for about 2 hours. Last night I cut a few words out to give it a try and it worked like new. hth

Cool! I am going to have to invest. So, you can continue applying it after a long time? Or only once? Does this mean I won't have to buy anymore mats????

you only need to do this after the sticky gets worn off. I bet that one glue stick will last for atleast a year or two, so it was definitely worth it!! I do think I probably won't buy mats again. Atleast not for years.
