Zoo Layout

Just an easy one, but I'm happy to have finished a layout. I have been making cards during all my free time, so wanted to atleast get one done today.

LOve the animal print and the stitching!!! Did you know hobby lobby sells large sheets of animal print felt for like 40 cents! It is cheaper than buying pattern paper. I want to do a wild thing I think I love you page. You should do one on Kayson if you have any leftover paper Smile

nice!!!!! I really love how this looks. I always want to use multiple paper layers like that but then I feel like I'm "wasting" paper. I need to get over that, I have so much paper!

Charys, this is awesome! I love the colors, the stitching, the journaling, the layout of the pictures...everything! And I'm glad to see a LO of yours, too! Smile

Gwen, I know exactly what you mean! I am a super duper cheapskate, so when I do a LO like that I take my craft knife and cut out all of the pp that you wouldn't see behind pictures, mats, etc. So on this page, I would cut an inner square of the blue and the animal print paper, so what is really on the page is more like a frame than a solid square of paper, if that is making any sense.

Wow Kelly, seriously??? Why are we such paper hoarders??? I have a bunch of paper but told Jim yesterday at Michaels as I was looking at a paper pack, "man I need more paper". Smile I actually do need patterend and solid paper, as most of what i have is cardstock, but I can make it work. Smile But I'm not that much of a hoarder....I'd use the whole page. You're funny!! LOL

GREAT page Charys. It's so simple, yet so not simple. I am so glad you got a LO done girl.

Haha! Yeah, I think I am queen of the paper hoarders! It's so hard for me to "waste" it behind pictures or other paper! I always cut it out like I said, and then add it to my scrap stash. And now that I have my scraps all organzied I use them constantly for LOs and cards.

Sorry for thread jacking, Charys!

LOL, I am bad about being paper stingy too. I'll actually cut the centers out of most of my large cardstock pieces like that and save them for cards. Wink And I save the tiniest of scraps. It's pathetic really because I'd probably never use up all my paper in my lifetime, but I'm still a hoarder.

That page is so cute! You are so creative with your color choices and embellishments. Question ... how do you do that stitching?
