Sarah, your belly looks fantastic!!! What are you talking about, leftovers, you look great!
Sarah you look great!!! Can't wait to see these bellies grow!!!
Ok, I changed my ticker. I THINK THIS SHOULD BE RIGHT-lol. I just don't know why my dr. didn't add the 2 weeks then because she was freaking me out and confusing me! I get my blood drawn again tomorrow so I am going to get it straight!!
Your HCG levels cannot give the doctor an exact due date or anything along those lines. In fact, HCG levels can vary so greatly that they can just barely 'date' a pregnancy at the beginning (when it is very low), but afterwards- there is too much variance to say 'This level puts me at this week', etc.
Call your doctor and speak with a nurse. Ask for your due date- no reason not to!
Ok, thanks! I go back tomorrow so will figure it all out then. I think what my ticker shows is right.
Woo HOO!!! I am so pumped! I had my blood tests done again yesterday and they already called me today! Everything is looking fantastic she said and the levels really rose this time! She's also scheduled me for an early u/s next Friday to see when the heck I'm due! She had to label it as a "threatened mc" so my insurance would cover it, but I should be able to hopefully hear a hb and figure out how far along I am!
Great news Jamie!!
Sarah, you look just wonderful!
Jamie that is fantastic, so great to hear, I can't wait to see pics of that ultrasound!!!
Jamie that is fabulous! I am so pleased you are getting an u/s, I was hoping they would suggest that otherwise I was going to encourage you to demand one! LOL!
Yayyyy for numbers rising and yayyyyy for the u/s!!
8 weeks today and counting! Still feeling HORRIBLE! Yayyyyy!
Well Sarah, at least it's more "reassurance" for you! I sometimes forget that I am preggo again b/c I haven't felt much of anything yet! I know that will come back to haunt me at some point!!
Great news Jamie!!
And yay for feeling horrible, Sarah--LOL!
Great news on the numbers Jamie! KUP on the u/s.
Awesome belly Sarah - you look fab! And congrats on feeling awful!
Ugghhhh....Sarah, I think I'm joining your boat. The past 2 days I have been so nauseated. I feel like I could throw up any second! This better not be a trend because I can't imagine dealing with my kiddos at school feeling like this! YUCK!
Sorry you ladies are feeling horrible, but I suppose that's good news as well
Good luck at your u/s Jamie! Hope you get a good peak at your little bean, as well as an official due date!
Here's my little bean! It was so amazing to see a little heartbeat on the screen!! The hb is nice and strong, so the u/s tech said I am at least 7 weeks, so probably right where I think I am!
You know what? I just got the weirdest feeling looking at that u/s pic. Like a de-ja-vou type of thing. Hope the "wanta barfies" are going away!
I was taking my prenatal pill in the morning and ever since I switched to take it at night, I haven't felt sick at all in the mornings!
That is awesome Jamie! I am so thrilled there was a h/b! So what is your edd now?
She didn't give me an exact date today but said I was at least 7 weeks, so I think it's still around May 21 like I thought. I have my next appt on Monday and we'll talk about it more then.
Yeah Jaime, I am so happy for you!!! I think the baby looks just like Brynn! My prediction is that you are having a girl!!!
Woo hoo Megan! I'll take that prediction any day! lol
Well, had my 2nd appt and lovely full exam today. WOO HOO! lol...it actually wasn't bad at all. The new NP we have there is AWESOME!!! She replaced the one that annoyed me to death last year with Brynn.
Everything is looking good-she is going to convince my dr. to change my due date to May 21 like her and I think is right. They've been finding protein in my urine consistently so I got to walk out of the office today with a big ugly container to do a 24 hour sample. I have to go tomorrow for more lab tests when I turn it in. I had to do this with Brynn too so hopefully it'll come back fine. If not, they'll send me to a kidney specialist to make sure everything is OK on that end so that I don't end up with preeclampsia or anything.
On another note, I lost a pound! woo hoo!! I can't remember the last time I was this weight! Even my "skinniest" days in high school I still weighed about 5 pounds more! Of course I had way more muscle then too. But regardless, I think by this point last year with Brynn I had gained about 3 pounds so I was excited that I hadn't yet-haha. Maybe I'll keep this one under control!!
I think that was about it! My next appt is in 4 weeks!
Okay, I DO NOT want to hear that you lost a pound! Keep that news to yourself! LOL j/k, well kind of! Can you tell I am jealous!
I had my first OB appt on Monday. It was great! I LOVE my OB! The first thing she said when we walked in (after hello's of course) was; "want to take a peak?!!" of course we jumped at the opportunity! The baby is so much bigger! We could see arms and legs and it was moving about! It looked like it was hanging by a bungee cord! Soooooooooo beautiful!
A pretty uneventful appt after that. BP was perfect, she will do a pap smear at my next appt (oh I can't wait for that!)
We talked about birth options and she is very supportive of a VBAC so we will see what happens! there is a slight increased risk of the same complication happening again so she will just monitor me and we will see what happens!
I go back in 5 weeks!
I have my 12 week scan on the 2nd Nov, that was mfavourite scan of all last time so I can't wait for that!
10 weeks tomorrow! Woo hoo!
Oh yeah, still feel sick and am sooooooooo exhausted (it's getting HOT here, I think it's going to be a LONG summer!) but the sickness and exhaustion are all par for the course and I am not compaining too much (Mick may disagree!)
All in all things are GREAT!
Great news Sarah! It sounds like there are a lot of nice OB's out there letting you get a peak! Today I felt really good. I forced myself to eat 3 saltines this morning and I think that really helped! After the first one I never feel good, but I need to get more in my stomach and then I think it helped!
My dr. called me back today and I have to see a kidney specialist because my big orange pee jug said there is still protein in my urine They just want to make sure there is nothing wrong with my kidneys. I have no clue what they do to check that. My appt isn't until Dec. 1.
So great to hear Sarah!! Sounds like everything is going wonderfully, I couldn't be happier for you!!! Did you get any pictures of the babe? If so, you will have to share if you can!!
I did get a pic Megan, have to get DH to take it to work and scan it in! Next week!
Jamie, sorry your pee is doing funny stuff! Hope they sort it out. The fact that your appt isn't until Dec tells me it isn't an urgent problem which is a good sign!
Sarah- sounds like you had a great apt. I have a question though, Why does you EDD say 12/5/07. Am I missing something? That is over a year from now, right?
Jamie- I hope everything if ok with your kidneys! I guess they aren't that worried if they can't get you in until Dec.
A friend of mine is now preg. with her 4th. Oh, you girls just make me want to be prego!!! I don't think I could handle 4. I love to here everyones up dates!
I almost can't read this thread because it gives me baby fever every time. But I can't stay away, either!
It seems like everyone is doing so well! It's so exciting to follow everyone's progress.
I think the 12/5/07 means May 12, 2007, not December 5th, 2007!!
Well Shannon, that's how I ended up in this thread! I was reading too much on everyone TTC!!! haha...
LOL! Yeah I decided I'd have an extra long gestation period like an elephant!!!!!!!!
Actually I think the US (and perhaps Canada) are the only countries in the world who write the date backwards - as in month/day/year. The rest of us write day/month/year - smallest to biggest! It was easy with Max b/c his b'day is 9/9 but I figured this might confuse a few people!
Ohhhhhhhhhh bring on the baby fever! Jamie and I would LOVE some more friends on this thread!
Canadians write day/month/year as well!! (At least, I do )
Congrats on the great appt Sarah!
I should have known the Canadians would get it right!! LOL! I was born in Canada and have Canadian citizenship!! No offense to the US gals, just teasing you!!
It took me a bit to figure that out.
Hey you meanie! LOL, No offense taken! I am from the US and realize we do ALOT of things backwards!!!!
haha it probably would have confused me for a minute. why is the rest of the world BACKWARDS from us???
I caught on, I took French for four years in HS and that is how we wrote the date in class.
Hey girlies! Looks like I'm joining ya'll! I don't have the courage to post on a new birth board. I feel like I'll jinx myself. I'm going to call my CNM on Monday to start all my blood work. Since I had the ectopic I have to go in for 4 consecutive blood draws then once my levels hit 500-600 they'll do an u/s to make sure that the sac is in the uterus. Nerve wrecking and exciting at the same time!
*still in a daze*
Woo hoo! Good luck with it all!
OMG!! Congratulations Sabrina! KUP
I am still so excited for you Sabrina!!!!!!
Congrats! You amaze me. Wow, 5 kids!
LOL...eh once you already have 3, I think it's all cake. Once you have more kids than you have arms, if you can manage that, you can manage anything! LOL
Thanks again girls! I talked to my CNM today and she said if I think everything felt fine we could skip all the blood tests...so YAY!!! She made my appt. for Nov. 9th. I will be a little over 6 weeks and hopefully we'll see a beautiful h/b! 2 weeks and counting!
congrats girl!!! I agree once you get to 3 it doesnt matter anymore. LOL The transition from 2 to 3 was really hard but I think I could take on a small army of kids now. Good luck, I cant wait to see you grow and have antoher beautiful GIRL! LOL

Ugh...Jessica was it really that hard? I've been debating having another, but if it's that hard I'm not sure I want a third. Going from 1 to 2 was hard for me.
I think from 1 to 2 was hard, but three has been easier. I guess it all depends on how far apart your kids are. Two babies ( anything less then 2 years apart) is going to be more of a challenge then if you have older children.
HEY! Don't remind me that mine will only be 20 months apart! lol...ok, that is ALMOST 2 years-hehe

I actually have to agree with that. When I went from 1 to 2 Taylor was 4 1/2 and when I went from 2 to 3 Riley was only 22 months. But there's +'s and -'s to each choice. Taylor and Riley play together now, but they have very different interests age wise. Riley and Landen alone or Landen and Abby alone play so much better...hardly ever fighting.
Ami I wouldn't let that scare ya. The challenge is more of figuring out how to get a good routine. When you have one in school that has to get up get breakfast, a shower and off on the bus. Then another that has to be driven to pre-school, then if their in any after school activities you have to juggle that in. It can be exausting at first. But before you know it it's like you never had less than 3 or 4. It becomes a new "norm" for you It really isn't all that bad I promise!
Man...the bottomless pit stomach has hit me today. Blah...yet nothing sounds good.
Oh man...talk about the bottomless pit! I can't eat ENOUGH! I don't eat much throughout the day just because I'm not that hungry but I try to eat to keep nausea away...but my gosh by evening time, I eat like a horse! My mom told me to save her all of my old clothes-lol. How rude! haha...I said "You mean my maternity ones?" haha
oh no I didnt mean to sound negative! Just going from one to two was easy for me cause Dylan was 7 years old so he could do things for himself. Then going from 2 to 3 I was TERRIFIED cause Bri was 3 years old and very high matinence. ya know??? Go for it girlie!!!!
