Well I had my 35 week OB appt today.
First thing the nurse commented on was my swollen ankles, then she took my blood pressure and it was a little high 140/80.
She had me put my feet up and then I waited for my OB. Talked to my OB and she said there were traces of protein in my urine and they want me to do a 24 hour urine test. Plus since I had mentioned both having headaches and heartburn recently, she is concerned about me getting pre-eclampsia. They did take my blood pressure again and it went down.
She told me to rest as much as possible and that we may need to move my c/s date up a week depending on the results of the labs.
So I guess I may be getting to deliver earlier, which I would like, though I really didn't want it to be due to complications, I just wanted to go into labor and make all these contractions I have been dealing with for months worth something!
So I guess I get the lovely experience of collecting my pee in a jug in my refrigerator for 24 hours. And I guess maybe I should try to mark off a few more things on my "to do before baby" list.
I recently had to do this at home. Not pleasant. I've done three more since being in the hospital. I can try to help if you have any questions. Hope everything works out for you.

Ugh. I had to take that test many times when I was pg with Brandon and it always turned out ok. Hopefully the high BP was just an isolated thing and you don't have to be delivered early. Wouldn't hurt to cross some things off the to-do list just in case

Yep that 24 hour urine sucks. I had to do it twice, because the first time they gave me the wrong container! AHHH!

I am about to head to bed and I already feel more exhausted thinking about having to stumble to the kitchen to get the jug and turn on lights to collect my pee every couple hours when I wake up during the night.
