I had my 33 week prenatal appt today. Was a pretty routine checkup. The one nurse forgot to do my BP, but I imagine it's all good. My weight stayed the same, baby girls HB was around mid 140's, and I"m measuring right on at 33 weeks this week. She said she was still laying diagonal, however, instead of her head down on the left side, her head was over on the right, and feet up under my left ribs. I figured she was in some whacky position as she's been really wild in there lately! She's definately a feisty little girl, wonder if that should scare me lol! Haha, as I type this, she's back to having her head on the left side, as she's hiccuping away now. Now i definately think I should be worried!
My urine check turned up that I have a slight UTI starting. My pee's been really dark lately and I thought maybe I hadn't been drinking enough, so drank some more, but still seemed dark. She asked me if I had any symptoms of having a UTI, and I said no... should I? She said that my pee was showing traces of it, and gave me a script to start meds for 5 days. This may sound really funny, but up till today I had NO idea that a UTI could bring on contractions and even pre-term labour . I know I know, I've done this 5 times now, however this pregnancy is the first where I've had UTI's during it. I had one back at the beginning but nothing till now. I'm hoping that the contractions ease up once I take and finish all the meds, and that I don't have to keep worrying and wondering what's going on. I really wouldn't mind having her around 37-38 weeks, just to simplify things here at home as school will be starting, Heather will be adjusting to all day, every day school, and also 2 days after my EDD is my DS2's bday. It would kill me to be in labour the day before or ON his bday. But, we shall see!
Anyways, I go back in a week and a half since she'll be away, we'll do the group b swab and whatnot then. Then, the week after that, I go and meet with the delivering Dr and also do my preadmit. Scary to think I'm getting so close to doing everything all over again since I only just did this last year lol.
glad you had a good appt. sorry about the uti, hopefully the meds clear it up and doesn't cause any issues

glad u had a good appt. Good thing you don't have symptoms of UTI's...I get them frequently (ever since I was 15!) I've already had about 5-6 UTI's during this pregnancy alone, and its thee most horrible, irritating pain. Feels like you have to pee CONSTANTLY and when you do, it's like shooting out razor blades. Good thing they caught it before the UTI got worse.
I've had a UTI before but not when pregnant and I agree, they are pure hell! I couldn't imagine feeling that way WHILE pregnant . I was surprised when she asked if I've had symptoms of one, cause I feel fine in that sense lol. Oh well, started my meds today so only 4 more days to go!
