39 1/2 week appt. this morning.

So, I had my 39 week appt. this morning. DH stayed home with the kids and just went in late since I had one of the first morning appts. It sure was nice to just go by myself and not worry about them. Everything is looking good, but I'm not making much progress yet. Still a loose 1 cm and 70% effaced... My midwife did say that my cervix is moving down some, which last week, it was tucked up more. She thinks that baby is laying on her side or almost on her back and gave me some suggestions of positions to try when I go into labor with my contractions to get her to flip with her back out. She hopes I won't make it to my appointment next week... but, we'll see. I've had a feeling all along that she was going to come a little late. Wink

I know what you mean about going alone to an appointment! Crazy how much more relaxing it is when you don't have to entertain anyone but yourself.

Sounds like you have a good attitude. Hope Selah doesn't keep you waiting long!

I agree that it is wonderful to get to go to an appointment by yourself once in a while! If it makes you feel any better, I was completely closed at my 40 week appointment (I was 40 weeks and 1 day) and then had the baby two days before my 41 week appointment was scheduled... I thought for sure I'd have to go to that appointment and I was bummed about it! I guess you never know! I hope you don't have to wait too long!

Kids aren't allowed at my OB office so I always have to go alone. It is nice when you don't have to worry about kiddos. It sounds like you're making a little bit of progress.
