3D/4D ultrasounds are great! You see so many neat things that the baby does while in there, and you think, ahh, baby just hangs out and doesn't do much, but once you get one of those done it totally changes your whole perspective as to what they do/don't do! 3D/4D's are much the same, 4D is in real time I was told, and 3D is just the still images. Either way, it's still great to see! Hope you get some good pics, KUP!
Chris was willing to a place to get them done, but my perinatologist has an awesome machine and at my last two scans I got some great 3D/4D shots so I think we're good. I hope you get some great pics.

I'm jealous! I've never had one, apart from the few seconds they switched it over to 4D at my 16 week ultrasound. I figure at this point I'd rather not get it for one and not the others anyways, plus there's just no way I'd convince dh to it unless it were free

I'm sooo excited I'm getting it done! And it's covered under MS Medicaid. Although I am not happy as to why I'm getting it... They're checking for Deformities and to check if other things could be wrong with Kyan.. I'm not happy or proud that I was on meds before I got pregnant and after with him and that I got drunk twice before I found out. In my defense I didn't know and he wasn't planned. So it's not like it was malicious or anything, I just simply did not know!
I think I'm going by myself for this. My husband told me sat night that he wanted to know so he could make planss to take off on the date. Well I found out today and told him and he freaked out! Wanting to know WHY I had to go over there and if there is something wrong with him it's not like they could do anything about it anyways. I told him not to f'n worry about it I'd take myself... His lack of concern/common decency is overwhelmingly dissapointing... Not that he took a big part in the other pregnancies as far as dr apts and u/s go but atleast he'd ask ad want to see pics and videos of the ultrasounds. This is just too much for me... I think I'd rather take the trip by myself than to listen to him.
So on the plus side that's when I'll get to see the new love of my life! I'm not sure if I'll get my other measurement scan before then to check him out before then or if she'll save that for when I'm closer to 35-36 weeks. Either way, I get to see my little man and I'M EXCITED that I'll get to see who he looks like!! I've been youtubin 4d scans and man... Those are just amazing!!
Awww I'm so sorry about the hubby being a complete jerk! I don't get why men have to be like that for. With my last pregnancy hubby didn't go to any of my appts, just went to the u/s. It was extremely upsetting to me because with my first 3, he had been there for all Dr's appts etc, but for some reason he didn't with Hailey. Kept using the story of "he needs to work". He was extremely excited etc, but for some reason that's how he acted. That's another thing that played on me after Hailey was born. When I needed him most he wasn't around. there was times when I needed someone to watch Heather, and he simply couldn't just say f-off to his job at the END of the day and lose the last 30ish mins. Sigh. Hope hubby comes around and stops acting like that, but glad that you get to have a wondeful experience of the 3D u/s, even if it's for other reasons.
Oh and don't beat yourself up over the fact that you drank a couple times etc before you knew you were pregnant. It definately happens with unplanned pregnancies, and sometimes even when you ARE planning. I'm sure he's fine and the fact that it only happened a couple times before you found out I'm sure didn't do anything to him
