Alyssa Update :)

Hi ladies!

Wow, it's been a super long time since I've been on PG.org! I spend most of my time on FB, and I have been in contact with some of the September ladies there, so I guess I just haven't been here lol.

Life has been busy, especially this summer. My 2 boys have gone to camp for all of last month, there was only one week where I had all 5 kids home, my oldest is currently gone to one and will be home Tuesday afternoon. We are also going away for a week at the end of this month, we're going to Toronto, Ontario, and are going to stay in a cottage near my best friends house, and we're going to go to the Toronto Zoo, and also Marineland. I know Alyssa will be too little to understand and fully enjoy it, but the older kids will. We haven't been away on a holiday like that in 4 years, so I'm excited to get away, and I get to visit with my best friend alot for that week lol.

Alyssa is doing WONDERFUL! She just turned 11 months old (this makes me sad) on the 3rd, and omg, she's learning sooooo much, so fast! She finally, last month, learned how to sit up all by herself, and actually sit unassisted. THEN she learned how to pull herself up to stand, and she LOVES to walk while holding our hands. She also walks holding onto the couch or her crib. It's not much, just a few steps here and there as she's still really unsteady and unsure, but she's doing it, and getting so grown up!

She is also a little cling on... to me. I can't even stand and wash dishes without her crawling to me, pulling herself up and standing there lol. Even on the couch she's gotta come to me mostly lol.

She isn't saying much interms of words yet.. mom, baba, up, and alot of other sounds that don't seem to sound like anything, yet. She can be quite vocal though, and it's so cute to watch. She's so darn cute! She's also still toothless, but since my other 2 girls didn't start getting teeth till at least 11 months old, I can't say that this surprises me any. Seems my boys were teeth getters at the 'normal' age of 6ish months, and my girls were 11 months, and well after a year.

She's eating pretty much everything we're eating these days. She still gets the odd bit of baby food from a jar, or baby cereal for lunch. Tonight, she had a slice of hawiian pizza and loved it. She also LOVES french toast, I made some for lunch last week and I swear she inhaled it, then sat looking at mine for more! She's been on cows milk since around 9 months, and so far has been doing great with everything we've given her.

I can't believe in a month's time she'll be a year old. She's growing and advancing so fast. All these new things at once is a little saddning, yet exciting, as I'm almost pretty sure she's definately our last, and I just want to enjoy her being small for as long as possible, but I guess she's got other ideas lol.

Don't think there's anything else to share about her at the moment. I will do my best to get some pics up of her during the week, I have sooooo many super cute ones that I kept meaning to come share, just didn't get here to do it.

Hope everyone else is doing well!!

Glad to hear everyone is doing great and you've gotten a bit of a break from all of the kids! And yay for a mini holiday. We took the twins and DD1 to Toronto zoo and the babes really enjoyed. They liked looking At the monkeys! We are taking on Canadas wonderland on Friday. I'm a little scared! Have fun in Toronto and keep us updated.

Glad they enjoyed the Zoo! I think Alyssa will enjoy it even though she's still pretty young. She loves seeing our dog and our cats, so the zoo might be pretty interesting for her. We were thinking Wonderland, but decided on Marineland instead.
