Anything left to buy?

Are you ladies all ready for baby? Do you have anything left to purchase that you consider an 'essential'?

I still need a bottle warmer to take to the babysitter's house, but I guess it's not 'essential' because I won't need it for 6 weeks.

Also in the non-essential category: Lily Padz and a second set of Aden and Anais muslin swaddling blankets.

What about you?

The only thing we still need to buy is the stroller. We are getting the Baby Jogger City Mini but we're waiting on MIL since she wanted to help out with something for the baby. I already bought the car seat adapter, we just need the stroller. I'm thinking within the next week we'll order it.

I have a few things I'm waiting to buy. A bottle warmer I'm waiting on until I know whether we really need it. If I have the same trouble breastfeeding we won't need it. We used to give Brandon his bottles (formula) cold and he was fine with it. If breastfeeding works and I am able to pump enough for bottles then we will go ahead and get one.

I'm also waiting on the humidifier. We have one for Brandon but I kind of wanted a different one for the baby. I know we won't need it right away though so I may just wait for a sale or for when we need it.

Brandon was a total swaddled baby and I can't believe we didn't save any of his swaddlers. I bought a miracle blanket and a woombie and if either of them are successful we'll go ahead and get more.

The only other thing I want is a new Ergo. Mine works just fine but it's a bit faded. I did buy a Moby this time around so I'm going to wait for a sale and then buy a new Ergo.

Nothing essential left to buy... there are a few things that I'm still debating trying to pick up what would be nice, but I probably won't end up getting in the end, like another set of cradle sheets and a new zebra striped SwaddleMe.

Diapers, Diapers and more Diapers. I want to get some swaddle blankets as well because I am really bad at swaddling.I want to stuck up on wipes, too. We still need a second crib and a second high chair but we won't need that for another 5-6 months. Other than that, we are feeling pretty prepared.

I bought everthing else I needed today! Another crib sheet and another bassinet sheet. I picked up some pacifiers and bottles to have on hand just in case but if his LO is like DD, we will not use them.

I also bought a couple more tank tops (I am addicted) and some lily pads. I have never used them but thought I would try them out. Has anyone used them? I worry that because they are silicone and my not breath, it could promote yeast production - any experience?

I bought some newborn diapers today- that was the last thing we needed. I don't have the diaper bag yet, but I ordered it last week, so hopefully it will be here soon!

Diapers.

That's it.

I did buy one small pack of newborn diapers, so we'll be ok when we first get home, but I am not nearly as well stocked as last time.

I really need a new breastpump...but I won't start pumping until she's about a month old, so that's not a desperate need really.

A few other incidentals, I need some bio-flushable diaper liners, a couple new soothers, a new pail liner, nothing super huge that I need to worry about it at this point.

I do still need to get the toddler seat addition for my stroller, but I still have a few weeks yet to worry about getting that, and a local store carries them in stock, so I can just go pick that up whenever.

Dont know about "essential" but, I still need:

1. a swing (BRU has a 25% off if you bring in something to trade, and I can take in Brayden's old bouncy chair)

2. Some full sized playyard sheets (I have the "travel size" ones only)

3. A baby bathtub. (not essential, as for the first little while, she'll be bathed on one of the sponge thingys you can put on your sink, and we already have that)

Other than that.....

not really.

I have 2 nursing bras and I think I still have some old nursing tops left. If not, I can buy more later, it's NOT that big of a deal.

For once I can say that nope, not a thing! I am always waiting until the last minute to get things, but made sure I had it all this time so I wasn't rushing around trying to get it all done. Just waiting for the little guy to arrive now Smile

All I desperately had to get was a stroller, and I just got it over the weekend. (Had a single, needed a double - got a phil & teds off Craigslist. Wink )

I don't really have any clothes other than some onesies, random knit pants, gowns and sleepers, because I don't know baby's gender. If it's a girl, I have shopping to do. If it's a boy, we're all set coz my little guy is 12 months old, so the seasons will all be the same and I have a ton of clothes.

I found a lot of diapers when I brought stuff down from the loft, plus I bought a couple packages.... as soon as I'm out, or if I am motivated before, I will switch to both of the babies in cloth.
I THINK I'm done... hopefully nothing else pops in my head. Smile

I used the Lily padz with DS and loved them. I didn't try them until he was about 3-4 months old though. I think in the beginning you have to much milk and it might cause clogged ducts. But later on when your milk supply is consistent they are great because you can go out and not worry about leaking and they stay on pretty good. I wouldn't wear them all the time though. IMO
