Anyone else's baby going through that molting phase now? How long does it take for their new skin to emerge?
This morning when I changed Selah's clothes for church and took her onesie off, she had tons of white flakes in her dark hair from her onesie being pulled over her head and she had just had a bath last night! It's gross... just gross and makes me want to pick it off to help her get over it already... kind of like a bad sunburn.
Same here. Thalia has lots of flakes. My mom uses baby oil and her brush to lightly scrape it off. She does a little every day or so. For the body, baby lotion.

This drives me nuts.... Chloe has been in that stage for the past week and a couple days, I didn't know they went through this stage, I feel so bad when I see her skin just peeling off, I put lotion on her like 4 times a day and it just doesn't help. I hope it goes away soon, its horrible on her hands and feet, her chest and tummy aren't that bad.
Simone is going through it too. It hasnt been as bad the last couple days, but I am waiting for it to flare up again.

Isaiah had it, it's pretty much gone now but like Melissa I gave up on the dr's orders and started using lotion on him everyday (anyone else's ped tell them not to use baby lotion?). I really like the Aveno lotion and aquaphor is GREAT for dry baby skin.

Mandi- my pediatrician told me to read the ingredients because most baby lotion has some form of alcohol in it that will actually dry it out more. I found a Burt's Bees baby lotion that doesn't have it.
Ronan also has this- although not on his scalp (yet... I'm waiting for that). His feet and legs are the worst right now, I think. But it's getting better.
