    Default becoming a trend :(

I really hope this is not becoming a trend, because I really need my sleep! But it is now 5am and I have been awake since 3:20. I woke up with a bad contraction, which always happens several times a night because I have to pee bad. So I go pee lay back down, and then I lay there for like an hour having contraction, after contraction, not able to go back to sleep. So I had to get up and have had a snack, and have only had a few more contractions since then...so I think I am about to try to go back to bed...hoping I'll be able to go back to sleep quickly.

Anyone else having sleep issues? My OB said I could take Unisom, has anyone taken that? I feel like I am already taking so many medications, I don't really like the idea of taking any others, but if this keeps happening, I may have to try it!

papaya enzyme from the health food store for heartburn. I haven't taken anything other than that this whole pregnancy and I get major heartburn half the day.

My sleep sucks. I'm exhausted all day and when I finally get in bed, anywhere between 9 and 11:30, I just lay here, unable to sleep. up to 2 hours usually.
I finally bought melatonin on wednesday but i haven't taken it yet. I'm just EXHAUSTED.

horrible sleep here, too! I get up at least twice to pee, blow my nose (nasty cold right now) and turn numerous times in bed as well as I get so hot and need to strip.

Then, while I am awake I can hear DH snore and that makes things even more difficult to fall back asleep. I maybe got 4 hours last night!!!!!

Sleep deprived here as well! i got to bed at 9pm every night. i am able to get comfy thankfully, but i am up every 45 minutes to pee, then it takes me forever to fall back asleep after that. so in the end i maybe sleep for 2 hours a night. Dr wont let me take anything, though only once i did take Tylenol PM out of desperation, but it didnt help any. walk around work like a zombie most days

Between contractions, heartburn and potty breaks I feel like I'm up most of the night. In the hospital they gave me a sleeping pill the first night and I was groggy the whole next day so taking any kind of sleeping aid scares me because I'm home alone with the kids all day.

Sorry you aren't sleeping well. I was like that the last several weeks and the last wk before I had him was horrible. But, only because of contractions. And now, I'm sleep deprived for a totally different reason. LOL! I have taken Unisom before. It worked for me and didn't leave me groggy in the morning like most of those medications do. Hope you find something that works.

Normally I am up every hour/2 hours to get up and pee and turn over cuz my hips start hurting, but I can usually fall back asleep right away. This not being able to go back to sleep is driving me nuts. I hate being awake at night when everyone else is sleeping!
