Calling the doctor (TMI warning)

So the past few days, when I get gassy I get slightly painful braxton hicks contractions. It's gotten a little worse. Now having a BM (which haven't been constipated, more loose than anything) is super duper painful. I'm having intestinal cramping that sometimes brings on BH's and yesterday I looked at what I poo'd (sorry) and there was some white mucous mixed in in. Sad

This morning another painful BM accompanied with intestinal cramping that just about left me crying... more mucous. It's in very small amounts, but the cramping is disturbing me. I'm calling the doctor now. I don't like having to collect stool samples.... Sad

Left a message with the message staff, now waiting on the nurse to call me back. I see my doc on Monday, so I may be waiting through the weekend with it, but I know that I should call on this type of thing just in case it's a parasite or something.

Okay... after researching a bit, it's probably just my lactose intolerance increasing to include cheese and chocolate. Sad I've been LOVING the cheese and chocolate lately, and yesterday I had some ice cream..... Sad Time to cut back.

I'll ask the nurse if taking a lactose reducing medicine is safe during pregnancy so I can still have cheese and chocolate... Lol I've already been on lactose free milk for quite a while.

So so sorry that you are not feeling well. I hope the symptoms ease up for you over the weekend.

Hopefully it is just lactose intolerance and you find some relief soon.

The nurse agreed with me, said to cut back on the lactose, but to keep an eye on it and if it worsens or I start to see blood or I get a fever, to call back.

I forgot to ask if taking preventative lactose meds is safe. She called me as I was almost falling asleep on the couch.

I'm glad that it sounds like it isn't anything major. Hope you feel better!

I'm feeling a bit better. I went to bed early. I was so wiped out when DH got home. I skipped dinner (but had a bowl of lactose free cereal just before heading to bed at 7:30. I was out so fast, too. Baby's activities did not feel good on my tender intestines, though. Sad

When I woke up this morning I had some bladder irritation and up until just a little bit ago I thought I was getting a UTI as well. Now I think it's just sore from the frequent wiping yesterday. Sad

Drinking lots of water and gatoraide today as I don't want to have any repercussions from this issue. And I'm sad.. I've got a mostly full tub of Rocky Road sitting in the freezer that I can't have. I may give it to my sister so it's not tempting me.
