Couple Questions.. UPATE 1st Post - Called Hospital.

UPDATE:

Ok, I called the hospital and I'm freaking out, upset etc. I explained about yesterday, the back pain, the crampyness, I feel sick to my stomach and the 'glob' this morning. They said right now the glob doesn't matter to them, however, the pains are more concerning at this point and they want me to go in for a few hours to be monitored. She said since I"m only 34 weeks I would have to be sent out if it was early labour, and when she said that I damn near broke down on the phone. I dunno how I'm calling Bruce to let him know, I know he'll want me there asap, though she said no rush, but with the pains etc, if it was her she'd want to know what was going on and with it being baby #5, you just never know. Well, off to call Bruce and see when we're heading in. This is the worst possible time to have to go in, on so many levels, not necessairy pg related either

Ok, please don't laugh since this is baby #5, but I've learned that each baby and pregnancy is a learning experience... in my case anyways.

So, I'm kind of unsure right now what to do. You all saw my post from yesterday and while I don't think I had the contractions all night, I did have crampy feelings and lower back pain. This morning when I went pee and wiped, there was about a teaspoon - tablespoon sized glob on the t.p. It was a little bit clear and a little bit discoloured... kinda tinged like. I wouldn't say it was pink/blood, just not fully clear. I have NEVER lost my plug before labour, always during when I'm at the hospital. Could what I just seen be part ofmy plug? Hubby and I haven't DTD, so that's not it. I waited about 30 seconds or so and wiped again and there was nothing, however, I was wondering, will I see more later if it's part of my plug coming out, or will I not see anymore for a while? The lower back pain is a dull throbbing right at the bottom all the way across.

I've never really gone into labour on my own, I've been induced. My water broke with my first but even then I ended up being induced because labour stalled, so I'm always puzzled by things . Don't laugh lol, but my body just dont do things on it's own I guess, so I always feel stupid.

What do you guys all think? I'm really hoping this isn't anything, now I'm kinda iffy. Doesn't help that I feel sick to my stomach currently :confused:0

Sounds like a piece of your plug to me. Could mean something, could mean nothing. I remember mine looked like a giant glob of snot. I lost mine just before 40 weeks, and was induced at 40 +5. They also say it can regenerate.

I would be worried about your back pain, that could be more of a sign of labour. Especially if you've never gone into labour on your own...just keep an eye on yourself, take it easy, have lots to drink. Don't hesitate to go in if you think something is going on though.

It sounds like a piece of your plug, but like Meghan said, it could mean something or it could mean nothing. You can lose pieces (or even all) or your plug and still have labor be a couple of weeks away. Keep us posted on how you're feeling!

Sounds like a piece of your plug to me as well. I would say if you have any other pains I would call your Dr just incase. Better safe then delivering your little one on the way to the hospital.

Nothing new to say here, sounds like it could be your plug. Which could mean nothing or could mean things are happening down below, whether that is dilation/effacement or not. If it makes you feel a little better I don't remember losing my plug this time but I obviously have since I'm dilated/effaced, so just might not have noticed it with your others.

Sounds like the plug to me, I lost a part of mine like a week ago, it regenerates though so that doesn't really mean much. Could just be early contractions, not labor. No fun, I Know. and dont worry, this is my 3rd and i agree, every pregnancy is different and I am still baffled by some things that go on during each pregnancy. lol

Keep us posted! Smile

I'd also be more concerned about the back pain. I had a low level of back pain all day (like I'd been sitting on an uncomfortable chair) when I went into labour. I didn't have contractions.

I hope it is nothing and you get to bake your baby longer.

just remember, better safe than sorry! I really didn't want to go in on Monday but it was good that I did. I know it's scary to think about but don't stress, just call your dh and slowly pack things up and head in. Smile I hope it's nothing and you're home this evening

Yeah, I'm trying not to think much about it, however it's hard because I DON"T wanna be in labour and get shipped out, that's what scares me most. Also, right now isn't a good time for things like this to possibly be happening... I won't get into it but it could be the cause of some of what's going on, so who knows. I know I'm probably worried for nothing and I'll be home this afternoon, but it's tough to say just what's going on, and what my DR will say kwim? Gotta love the mysteries of pregnancy!

I am so glad you are going in! I wouldn't worry about the plug, I lost mine at 28 weeks this time, but since it was in conjunction with the other symptoms, it is concerning!

Aw hun, I'm sure all will be fine!! If they thought it was bad, they'd keep you in but you can do this. Just stay on PO the whole time (if you can) and we can calm the nerves Smile

Your symptoms are very similar to mine when I went to the hospital and ended up being diagnosed with a nasty kidney infection. Kidney infections are from bladder infections and they can make you feel pretty horrid down there. I hope they find out what's going on so you can feel comfortable again... keep us posted!
