D&C!! Update post 11

So I get a call this morning from the u/s saturday because of prolonged post partum bleeding and there's stuff that needs to come out. Not totally sure what it is yet cuz the dr that reads them isn't in until tomorrow. But the tech emailed that dr her notes and says to go ahead and schedule surgery for tomorrow and she will read the u/s first thing in the morning. So my procedure is at 1 pm. Never been put to sleep before! Its a good thing I went for ppd last week and asked for who knows when I would have called about this otherwise. I'm so stressed out right now

I'm so sorry you have to go through this compounded with the ppd. I hope things get better for you soon.

Sorry you have to have surgery. It's probably a retained piece of the placenta...after I had Brandon I had major bleeding issues and they thought it might be retained placenta and I would have to have a D&C but luckily it wasn't and they were able to give me meds to contract my uterus and the bleeding stopped. I hope the procedure goes smoothly.

Bummer!

I had a D&C several years ago for a prolonged bleeding issue (unrelated to a pregnancy) and my bleeding stopped within hours of the procedure.

I'll be thinking of you tomorrow!
