    Default finger foods

Is anyone giving their LO finger foods yet? I have given Andrew green beans, a small bite of bread, and baby mum mums. But he has a really sensitive gag reflux and everytime he gags and then vomits. He does it with solid food sometimes too if it is too thick. I guess its good because it prevents choking, but I hope he grows out of it!

Evie does not really like getting purees anymore because she wants something she can hold and gum. She doesn't really chew if I put little pieces in her mouth, so for now she gums on cold apple slices and cold hard carrots. She has a difficult time actually getting pieces of them off, so I'm not so worried about her gaggin. She's the same on that aspect. She gags easily and pukes.

Maya will only eat table food, for the most part we give her whatever we are having, just cut up really well.

Ronan is doing finger foods. He's gotten pretty good at it- the percentage of food ending up in his mouth (as opposed to in the side of his booster seat or on the floor) is getting much higher.

I was trying my very best to avoid this.. but I went to lunch with my folks and didn't have any apple slices in the diaper bag and the restaurant didn't have any. So, Evie got her first french fries yesterday. She didn't eat any that I could tell.. just made a big mushy fry mess. But she did suck on them and mash them a bit in her mouth before pushing them out with her tongue (or gagging them out).

She is getting more and more angry if you eat and don't give her anything.

it took until DD1 was almost 3 before fries were anything other than something to lick ketchup off if.

DD2 is on a mix of purees and finger food. if we let her she would live on toast. So far all her finger food is crunchy - crackers, toast, Cheerios. Soft things we try but she won't put them near her mouth.

I as well and trying to avoid fries. Funny thing though, DD1 lived fries and then in the last 6 months has lost complete interest on them. She very rarely eats them. As for the babies, they have now tired Grated cucumber and pasta. I made pur?ed peaches the other day and they LOVED it. They went crazy for them and they actually do taste great.
