Haha - pregnancy tastebuds

Today I had a glass of milk with dinner. After dinner dd and I were eating dried pineapple and I realized I hadn't finished my milk yet, so I drank some. OMG - the milk and pineapple were heaven on my tastebuds. Dh thought I was nuts and gave me a grossed out look lol. Before I had dd, my food could absolutely not be touching. During my pregnancy with her, I thought all sorts of foods went super well together, like corn and mashed potatoes.

Anyone else having funny taste combinations that are surprisingly yummy lately?

I don't think I've liked any strange combination. I am crazy over sour cream right and cottage cheese right now... I could eat them with just about anything.

I haven't liked any strange combination, I'm still as picky as I have ever been.

But I had to post because your comment about sour cream and cottage cheese made me think of this recipe I just tried last week and it was really good. And if you are into sour cream and cottage cheese, you should like it. It is really easy:

I was soooo sad the other day when I made pot roast (which I was SERIOUSLY craving) and as soon as I tasted it, it tasted foul and I couldn't finish it lol! Same recipe I always use, and DH said it tasted the same as always, but to me it was disgusting!

As far as cravings, it took me a while to realize, but I have blue cheese dressing every day... EVERY day. I love it... its the only dressing I want to eat now lol! I try to limit it to just a tiny bit of dressing, but its just so good, I gotta have it every day.

That looks so yummy. I love the Pioneer Woman. Two of my favorite things...I might have to try that soon, thanks for posting that.

im enjoying very little! Sad

last night i whipped up a quick pot of chili and it was SO good! DH even commented on how was actually enjoying it, UNTIL my heartburn kicked my tail. i ate maybe 7 bites and then i couldnt eat a another bite. Figures, i FINALLY find something that tastes good...LOL Though i did have some Chiquita juice (strawberry, banana and orange) that was heavenly!

I never heard of that website...i will have to check it out.

I haven't discovered any strange flavor combinations, but I have definitely had more cravings with this pregnancy, in spite of being sicker than I was with my first. With DD, I just had tons of aversions, through the whole pregnancy. And I was worried about getting enough protein because I pretty much hated meat through the entire thing. This time, I'm craving burgers, a steak, pulled pork barbecue sandwiches, etc. Maybe that's the difference between a boy and a girl?!

With my first son, all I wanted was Italian food lol. This child i seem to be going through phases. first it was pickles pickles pickles, then it was 'I must have BACON!' (Lol) now its a fruit & smoothie thing. The funny part is i no longer want pickles and I think Im baconed out. lol
