Halloween costumes? XP

Whose dressing their LOs up for Halloween?

I showed DH a few costumes online last night and he said he thinks its a waste of money cause she's so young. Sad Never mind that it's her first Halloween! Time to go around him to MIL.

haha, your Dh sounds like mine!!!

I typically get the standard "little pumpkin" costume for my newborn babes. I actually have the one that Moriah wore last year that I will have Daniel wear this year. It is a 3-6 months so it should fit fine. Wink

If the girls' costumes weren't so expensive I'd consider it Lol I did get him a 1st Halloween outfit and a matching pumpkin hat but we won't be getting him an actual costume. Halloween here is COLD, many years it's snowing so we probably won't be bringing him trick or treating anyways and if we did he'd be so bundled you probably wouldn't be able to see the 'costume'. DS1 on the other hand is a pumpkin this year, we have an 18m Pumpkin costume so that will likely be his costume next year, or if he's smaller we have a 6-12m monkey costume.

DD2 will be a chili pepper (I'll post a pic later tonight, I promise) because that is the infant costume we have from when DD1 was that age.

I really want DD1 (4) to be a cook- apron, chef hat, spatula?, but she is fighting me on it, and wants to be a princess.

I made a black and yellow tutu, have a pair of black baby legs, and finally found a black long sleeve onsie. Now I just have to make black and yellow hair bows so she can be a bumblebee. But that will mostly just be for pictures. I bought her a halloween onsie from Walmart, and she will wear that when we go to Halloween activities I'm sure.

We are doing a kitty cat from Babies R Us, I bought the costume on sale so not bad. I also bought a Princess costume for next year if/when we go to Disney, rather pay 19 dollars then 80 with it being just as pretty.

I got Jackson a Halloween outfit with a pumpkin hat to wear. However, I was at the Disney store last week and they had Tigger Shirts with matching hat and booties. My mom bought it for him and I think I am going to put that on him because he looked so cute in it. My 3 year old son Brayden is going to be Charlie Chaplin for Halloween. He has no idea who that is, but I told him thats what he was gonna be for Halloween. Now he has been going around telling everyone that he is going to be Charlie Chaplin.

Last year, Brayden was an Ooompa Loompa from Willy Wonka. I made the costume from directions I found online. At first when I made the costume, I really didn't like it and was going to throw it away. My DF said, "No, try it on him first." I did, and my son looked soooo cute!!! He actually won 2 local Halloween costume contests. I will have to post pictures of it later!!

The babies are going to be too small still for a costume so I'm just going to buy them a Halloween outfit from Old Navy or The Gap. As for DD1, she wants to be a "pretty witch"!

I don't know about your hubby, but perhaps you could wear this shirt?

Jayden is going as a skeleton. I bought a onsie for him from walmart and it glows in the dark. He is still small only @ 7 1/2 lbs so he is just fitting into newborn clothing right now. (hes perfectly healthy just a tiny baby the doc said) My cousin has a 7 month old so she bought the same costume and their going as twins.

DS is going to be a pirate (took forever to decide) and i really want to try and make Reagan the treasure chest! I'm going to look into it this week but of course my MIL already bought her the lady bug costume at target so I'm not sure what to do.

I think we are going as Goldie locks and the 3 bears. Maya will be Goldie locks and myself, Dh and joshua will be the bears. Now I just have to make the costumes. Wish me luck.

I haven't decided if I'm going to get a costume for Ronan. We have a birthday/Halloween party to go to where all the kids dress up, but I don't want to spend a lot of money on a costume for him. But I was saying to DH that he's grown so much that he might fit into the costume DD wore when she was a year old! That's especially impressive when you think that they were the same birth weight!

I can't decide if I will buy one for Carter or not. I bought him a first halloween sleeper with a pumpkin hat for him to wear. But, we are going to take the kids to the pumpkin patch and take pics so I want them both dressed up or neither dressed up. YKWIM? So, I'm sure I will give in and find him a costume. Just not sure what.
