I think I figured out Evie's sleep issue!

So last night it occurred to me.. she sleeps better when the outside temperature is warmer. But this doesn't make sense cause I have a heater in her room and I keep it a nice temperature in there, and I adjust it as necessary for when it's cold enough for the house heater to be kicking on at night. And THERE'S the key. Just about every time I got up with her last night, the house heater was on. I think the heater kicking on is waking her up.

I'm gonna buy a radio today while I'm out and about and see if it helps tonight.

What about a sound machine? They sell them at Bed, Bath, and Beyond and are like $20 or something and play a whole bunch of different noises. They can run on batteries or plugged in to an outlet. We used them for my first two when we traveled a lot and they really helped.

Well, the problem with a sound machine is it's so limited. I mean, we'd only be using it for this... but a clock radio has more extended life uses. KWIM?

Anyway, I forgot to pick one up cause it didn't make it to the list. Perhaps I'll just go to Amazon now and order one while I still have free prime shipping (it expires on the 24th and I can't extend it anymore unless we pay for it and it's not worth the $80 some odd).

Okay, so I searched amazon for clock radios with white noise, and found this. So I bought it. Smile

Well, it arrived yesterday and I set it up lastnight. I think it helped. We had one 4 hour stretch in the middle of the night. Yahoo I think we might have had more than one if she wasn't so gassy. Sad

Here's hoping tonight goes even better.
