I wonder....

when we'll get our first big baby boom? On my September 2004 board we had a ton of babies born August 25 and a few more that week too, that's only next week!

And I wonder who will be next!? I think next week is it for me as long as baby stays in until then, just doing what I can to discourage baby coming before next Wednesday...after that I'm cleaning my shower and floors! With so many full term mommies now we could have another baby before then, and then of course our babies are just full of surprises so someone could go into labor and deliver out of the blue.

I was just thinking this, that it seems like a lot of August mommas have had their babies and that means our month is next! I'm just so thankful right now to be at 34 weeks, so if this baby decides to come, it will probably be a very short nicu stay.

I am really certain that even with all the uncomfortable and even painful contractions, that this baby is going to make me tough it out until my c/section date of September 19. So I am guessing I'll be one of the last ones to deliver...Seems everyone here is due before me, or the ones due on/near my due date will be delivering earlier...

I think I may make it to my c-section date which as of now stands at 39w4d. I haven't had a single BH or contraction the entire pg and absolutely zero signs of any progress towards labor. I'm still early but the doctor is really happy with the way things are going and thinks I have a great chance of making it to full-term and to my cs date at the end of September.

I think we will have a lot of babies born in August as well, just hopefully not mine Wink

I am quite convinced I will go over with this baby too...I was induced 5 days late with Hailey, and if we go the same way...I may end up in October! I'm not leaving the group though! I am pretty sure I will be one of the last. Due date is the 26th. Sigh.

I have a feeling this baby will be late. My due date was moved up four days from my LMP because of the size baby was measuring at my first u/s at 7 1/2 weeks. But now baby is on the smaller side. So, I'm prepared to go a few days after my official "Due Date". I'm due on the 12th, but I'm guessing around the 15th. Wink I really have stopped having hardly any BH contrax... which is great. I won't be checked for progress until next week, maybe... although I'm trying to put it off one more week.

I will be quite surprised if I go into labor before my c-section date, Sept 16th. Even with Marisa, while I was contracting, I think before induction, I only progressed to 2cm. But, every pregnancy is different.

When I was pg with the twins, I was due Sept 24th and ALOT of the Sept 2009 babies were born in late August (including mine)and then I think we had another boom in mid/late Sept I think? I'd have to look.

I was thinking the same thing. I know we have quite a few due early in the month, so the first week and a half or so we should see lots. I'm hoping I'm apart of those ladies. The last Wed of this month I'll be 37 weeks and then this baby can come at any time, it wouldn't hurt my feelings any, though I really don't want things to go in the way of how Hailey's went, though this time is slightly different with all the little things I've been dealing with. I kknow that once school starts I'll be by myself with Hailey all day and it's getting really hard to carry her and go up/down the stairs. With the pelvic pain I usually steady myself using the railing and the wall, and holding her I can't do that . We'll see what happens, but I know each passing week the pelvic pain is getting worse and worse.

All I know is that I will be one of the last ones lol! I have never gone more than 4 days early, and I'm due at the end of the month, so I get to torture myself by looking at all your adorable newborn babies while still being pregnant and impatient lol!

I expect to be one of the last also, my dd is Sept.23 and with DD I went into labour very close to her dd. I have no reason to expect this one to be different. It seems like we have a lot due towards the beginning of the month though, so I bet we get our first "boom" pretty soon!

With how impatient I'm feeling and how many contraction phases i've been through already (I go good, frequent, intensifying for about 4 hours and they stop, I do this about every other day or so).... I'm likely going over again. It'd be my luck.

I was thinkIng (and worrying) this will be the case for you as well. Were you feeling this bad with the boys before you were induced?

It's kinda funny you mention that i was the complete opposite with Hailey last year. Outside of our 2 early ones, I was the first to deliver and I felt super sad about it lol. Of course, she WAS supposed to be the last, and I wanted to stay pregnant just a little longer lol. I also did the weekly checkin's and when I did the non-pregnant mommy one it was so sad, and reading the pregnant mommy one was even worse, cause I KNEW I should have still been there lol. Of course, hormones played a huge part in that, but I was the total opposite!

Worse, actually. They came daily and were more attention grabbing starting about this time. So even though I've started about a week earlier.. they are still milder and less often.

With Jacob I was 41 weeks and 3 days (I think) and only 2cm with 2 membrane sweeps and nothing was making me progress, so we did the pit. With Daniel I was 40 weeks and 5 days, 3cm (but stretching to 4) and had an ineffective sweep about 48 hours before we induced with cervadil.

Both times I contracted between 10 and 14 days BEFORE induction. But like I said, they were more attention grabbing than what I've been getting lately. So unless something changes real soon............

You just never know Janelle. Labor is known for being unpredictable! I hope you don't go over again and your body goes into labor on it's own soon!

My due date is August 31st, but with all the impatient babies on this board, I still feel like I will be one of the last! Lol! I'm quite confident I'll go past my due date. I just hope I can go into labor on my own instead of using natural (or synthetic) induction methods. My midwife has a "cocktail" involving castor oil that she has had 100% success with, but I'd really rather not resort to that if I don't have to! I'm really hoping that he decides to arrive sometime in the first week of September. If it's the middle of September and he still hasn't made his appearance, I'll be getting desperate!

Have you thought about trying EPO Heather? It's not an induction method, but it'll help get your cervix ready, I've heard it can make labor faster too but I'm not sure if that's a proven result or not.
