For those of you who do not swaddle, how do you make sure your baby is warm enough at night? What clothes do you put them in and do you cover them with a blanket? It is starting to get pretty cold here and I want to make sure Andrew is warm enough during the night. I put him in a long sleeved onesie under a sleeper. I wrap a receiving blanket around his legs under his arms, anything over his arms he pulls over his face.
Alyssa goes to bed in a sleeper and she's got her blanket, however more often than not she kicks it off. It's pretty warm in here so I don't worry too much. I usually check her when I go to bed and put it back on her. It's funny though, she'll gladly sleep in my bed with my blanket on her no problems, yet kicks her own off lol.
Well, I swaddle but it's getting pretty cold here, I make sure to put socks and a onesie on under his sleeper and then he's swaddled. I have those sleep sacks too if there comes a point where he doesn't like being swaddled anymore. My sister in law had a bunch she handed down to us. It's looking pretty likely he'll outgrow them before we stop swaddling though

We use sleep sacks. I usually use a fleece sleeper unless it doesn't feel that cold.

I put a onsie under the sleeper, kaylee get swaddled (brad doesn't like it). Kaylee has a duvet and Brad has a comforter so they are pretty warm. And I put a heated on low in their room to keep it warm because it does drop down at night. I find they were waking up with cold hands so I started putting mittens on them, but they managed to get them off in the night.
Evie co sleeps with me right now because I'm worried she gets too cold. lol
I need to finish her room (just basically need to empty the crib all the way) so that I can put her in there with an electric heater plugged in.
we swaddle, but I worry about her head being too cold. But if I put a hat on her, it doesn't stay on cause she wiggles till it falls off or comes down below her eyes.

Its chilly here at night as we turn our furnace down. Not nearly as low as we did before kids though! Audrey sleeps in a onesie, sleeper, and is swaddled with a blanket over her. I can't do a hat as she freaks as soon as it falls over her eyes. I do find her feet get cold, so I am starting to put socks on inside the sleeper. We also have some fleece sleepers (some people call them blanket sleepers?) that we will use as it gets colder.
We keep the thermostat set at 68 at night, but our room (where Selah is atm) is a bit colder because it is over the garage. I put socks and a onesie on under all her sleepers... started switching to warmer fleece/terry cloth sleepers than just the lightweight sleepers. She is swaddled with a fleece swaddleMe... and then I wrap a blanket around her lower body and tuck it in under her legs to keep it from creeping up if she wiggles some.
Cassandra wears a fleecy sleeper, then is swaddled in a muslin swaddling blanket (ok, not warm) and covered with a crocheted blanket that's tucked in. Her face/head sometimes are cool, but she's always toasty warm with that combo, and our room is pretty chilly.
Once Brayden outgrew swaddling, we used the Halo Sleep Sacks, and he used those until 2.5.
