Kyla is throwing up again...

I am getting tired of this. It is the same pattern as last week. Do I wait until she is dehydrated or do I take her to the hospital now?

She is still having wet diapers but is starting to eat less. She hasn't been sick since 2:30 but has not been eating either.

Any thoughts?

I'm so sorry that you have to go through this... again! Can you call your doctor/nurse and ask what you should do/when you should take her in? That's what I would do.

Babies can go down hill fast! If she is puking large amounts and not is not consuming as much I think I would have her seen AND at the very least contact her Ped. I am so sorry you are dealing with this, I am praying for you guys!

My pedi office has a nurse on call 24/7 I would definately call and see what to do if possible. otherwise if she is on the same pattern as last time I might just take her in.:bigarmhug:I hope she gets better

Does she cry in discomfort ? She could have acid relux

Thanks everyone! We had another iv put in but this time we didn't have to go through all the testing, just suctioning.

The mucus is making her sick and not want to nurse

thank you. Ihave had a reflux baby and this is totally different. She is bringing up the mucus when she vomits and suctioning helps.

I really appreciate th comment though!

Have they said why she's still mucousy at more than 2 weeks old? Typically you would see this more in a newer baby, especially a c-section or fast delivery where they don't get a good squeeze coming out. Most kids get over it within a couple of days. I would ask why she is producing so much mucous still....

I was wondering this too. Both the girls had some extra mucous in the days following birth which caused some 'choking' episodes (scared the crapola out of me), but both have been fine since. Does she have a cold?

For some reason she got the cold that we all had. I know it is rare for bf babies to get sick but that seems to be the most plausible answer. She ctually had no mucus problems from delivery...
