maternity pants..ugh.

I am having the worst time getting maternity pants (jeans, capris, shorts) to fit properly and comfortably. MY issue is that they just don't stay up on me. Perhaps it is because my belly is not big enough yet?? I am buying my normal size (pre-pregnancy, depending on what the brand recommends. When I wear them (any brand for that matter) I am constantly finding myself pulling them up. I only wear the full panel kind (not underbelly bands) Maybe that is my problem???

The ones I find that are the best are Gap's... they seem to stay up the best, even though nowhere near perfect.

I am having the same problem. I even tried a size down from my normal size and it still hasn't helped. I will say that I love the gauchos from Old Navy. they are soo comfy and actually stay up.

Have you tried Motherhood's Secret Belly fit? They seem like they would fit pretty snuggly.

I wear the no/under belly jeans and I love them. I wear them the whole pg but they are really good for early pregnancy before you have a large belly. You might want to give them a try.

maybe it's b/c 1 of 2 things.. 1) I am plus size or 2) I don't totally care what I look like they are comfy.

Well, I probably ordered the XL... I'm normally a 14/16, so I guess I'm fairly plus size.... I just felt like a whale when I put them on.

The only things I have found to help are wearing a bella band over the belly part or wearing a tank top under my shirt and pulling the pants belly part over the tank top. I think the friction of the fabrics seems to help them stay in place better. Not perfect but it helps. (Only when it's not too hot for an extra layer though)

i am wearing the XL over the belly jeans from Motherhood Maternity, they are a little big on me, but i know L will be too small! plus after a few hours the material stretch, but they are really comfy...

I'll have to check out the Gap brand. I haven't tried that one and I need some cropped jeans. I do have 2 pairs of the Motherhood secret belly fit and for some reason the way the crotch is they just don't stay up too well. I would wear a medium according to the sizing and I would think going up a size would be too big and going down a size would be too snug.

I also have a pair of capri type jeans from Target and they are the same way. They slooooooowly slip down as I walk!

I didn't think about using my Bella Band--duh!!!! That would probably help some.

I am not sure what gauchos are. I will check ON's website.

Lenora- are the no under belly jeans you are referring to the type that do not have the big stretchy panel that fits over the belly. I am surprised those would stay up!! Hmmmm.. I never even tried those type on before!
