Well, after contracting all day yesterday into the night last night, and then even stronger today, I decided it was time to call the dr. I started having diarrhea yesterday and it hasn't stopped so I thought I was getting dehydrated. I have drank water all day and it hasn't helped. I was able to put myself on the monitor at work for about 20 minutes and had several contractions that were quite strong. Anyways, so my dr worked me in this morning. I let him see the strip from work and he was quite impressed. Cervix is still closed! He is starting me on some Procardia every 6 hours to see if that will either kill them or lessen the intensity of them. I didn't have any ketones in my urine so I'm not dehydrated. No clue as to why I'm contracting this much at this point. So, I'm off of work for the rest of the week. Told me to take it easy at the house and to rest as much as possible. I go back Monday for my regular appt and we will reassess the situation to see where to go from here. So, I'm on the couch. Nibbling on some chips. Contractions are still going and I'm starving because I'm scared to eat too much. He said I could go to my shower Saturday as long as I took it easy.
Oh gosh. Take it easy and keep us updated.

Take it easy, I hope the contractions start to ease up.

Thanks ladies. They have spaced out since I have been resting but they are still there. Still waiting to get my meds and take them. Hopefully, I will be able to go back to work next week so I don't have to use all of my time off.
Wonder if you have what I have. Same symptoms, diarrhea with bad contractions. When I went to the hospital they said I was the 3rd patient that day with the same thing. It's taken me a few days but each day the contractions have gotten less and less. It's some bug that's going around I guess and it starts them up.
I've been wondering if my various aches and pains and pressure would be caught on a monitor.
Good luck with the meds and bed rest.
