So I posted all of these on FB yesterday, but I thought I'd share some with you, too, in case you aren't on FB or aren't friends with me (www.http://www.facebook.com/Nell4Him).
My 7 year old, Jacob
Jacob and his "girlfriend"
My 2 year old, Daniel and his friend Sami. Sami was due Jan 19th, 2009 (2 weeks after Daniel was born), but due to issues in the pregnancy, she was delivered at 28 weeks just before Thanksgiving. She's doing quite well now.
My hubby, Brad
And the cake. I LOVE to decorate cakes on a small scale. I have yet to try on a larger scale. We had issues with the icing. I forgot to get the tips for the tubes I had already got and so DH was supposed to go buy them. He went to two different stores and couldn't find them, so he ended up bringing home more icing. The kind that comes in cans like cheese wiz. Anyway, they do not work nearly as well as the tubes with tips. Can you guess what the cake theme is?
All in all, the party went well. I had forgotten to reserve the space at the pizza place and we got there and they had 4 different sections "reserved" for parties that weren't coming until about 2pm. We got there at 11:30 and ended up using some of the "reserved" tables. After all we had a group of about 20-25 people. I tried not to let the stress affect me too much. Daniel had a nice stinky diaper that leaked through his pants and onto Gramma, and I forgot to bring a change of pants for him. With how many of these type of diapers I've been changing the last 5 or 6 days, you'd think I'd have thought about that one better.
I got up that morning to the sound of DH asking Jacob where the wipes were and I realized we were out (cause I couldn't find the bag!). So Brad had to go to the store for those AND the icing tips. I had to start a load of laundry really fast as I also realized that ALL of Jacob's pants were dirty and he had nothing to wear to his party. Then I found out he had peed in his bed the night before and didn't tell us, so I had to strip his bed and start THAT load.
I did NOT get my shower and I BARELY got half a cup of coffee. Then around 11am I realized I had yet to eat, even! So I had a bowl of cereal real quick before we headed out because I started with the shakes and knew that the pizza would be at least an hour away.
Anyway, all-in-all it was a good day. Everyone had fun and DH was helpful to me.
OH! And I left the candles for the cake at home, so poor Jacob didn't get to blow out any candles.
It's over, I can rest now. LOL
I'm sure Jacob had a great time at his party. The cake looks great, I guess they're into Mario huh??? Hope you're getting some rest today!

I have to sit here and giggle. Because we have just too many damn things in common and it cracks me up. So look JANELLE. LoL. My son Jacob turned 6 today He also had a Super Mario themed party. I made the little mushroom looking thingy cupcakes. They turned out adorable. Ill try and post pics tomorrow. We had his party at a local pool, and although I didnt forget to reserve and area, THEY forgot to reserve it for me!!! OMG I was so upset!! But they fixed it, and it turned out fun. But I did forgot tons of stuff!!! Oye forgot forks and candles and so much more. And oooh I wish I could rest now! But off to make more cupcakes I go...his class is expecting them for tomorrow
Glad to hear it all went well and our Jacobs are happy year older kids
