Has anyone else dealt with excessive chills/night sweats since they had their LO? I remember having this 1-2 nights when Clara was born but not my other children. This time it's been going on since I had Markus, that's almost 2 weeks! This is also the first birth that I dropped a lot of weight post partum, I've already dropped 33lbs since he was born. I always go to bed freezing/shaking and then wake up soaked in sweat/cooking. Anyone else dealing with this? My doctor said it's hormones and losing all th excess fluid from pregnancy/birth.
I get night sweats after having a baby- drives me nuts! It actually hasn't been quite as bad this time, but still really annoying. They lasted a long time after I had DD (probably about two months). DS is four weeks old today and I'm still getting them, although they're happening less often. Can't wait until I stop having them! I know it's normal, but it's so annoying!
Yup. Im sleeping on a towel now, since my entire bed would be SOAKED.
I also made DH put a different comforter on the bed.
It's been bad b/c Im so wet when I wake up to feed Cassandra that I have to psych myself up to get her up and latched - because when I get out from under the covers, Im FREEZING.
I hope it goes away soon!
oh yeah! but not every night, that's the weird part. I had them the last month of pregnancy, too... so it's been going on for about 2.5 months for me.

I had them really bad the first night or two in the hospital after I had Daniel. I haven't really had any since. I mentioned the night sweats to the nurse while there and she said it was definitely normal (and because of the hormones).
