night time feeding

After feedings at night, does your baby fall right back to sleep after? If not, do you put them in their bed still awake or do you stay up with them and try to get them back to sleep?

I put Shaylynn right back in the co-sleeper next to our bed. Sometimes she does stay awake for a little while, but she is quiet, so I just let her lay there so she can get used to putting herself to sleep.

I put Daniel back down after his feeding. Most of the time, he is sleeping after the nursing session. Sometimes, he is wide awake after his feeding and I need to rock/soothe him to sleep.

Most of the time Reagan goes right to sleep after nursing but sometimes she wants to stay awake. I usually just turn on the TV and hang out with her until she falls asleep again, or I pass out ROFL

I have been lucky so far- Ronan usually falls asleep as he finishes nursing (at night, not all the time). Sometimes he wakes up a little when I lay him back down, but he can usually go back to sleep on his own in a minute or two in that case. The times that he was wide awake, I woke DH up and he got him back to sleep. But fortunately that hasn't happened often.

I am so bad about falling asleep while nursing. I often wake up several hours later with Kyla still in my arms. I do try to put her in her bassinet after nursing though

her night feeding is really her morning feeding anymore(sleeps from 12-1 thru 6-7).

her last feeding at night i will rock her to sleep. she still wants so be swaddled so i will make sure she's well asleep before i try to swaddle her. after her first am feeding she usually will be asleep before she is off the boob, then sleep until her next feeding.
