Oh. My. Goodness. This is totally one of those days when I wonder why we ever decided to have another child! My two-year-old has me wanting to beat my head against a wall. She was super cranky all morning, refused to sit on the potty (or wear a diaper) and so peed alllllllll over the floor, dumped out the dogs water bowl THREE times, stripped naked, and splashed in the puddle (each time). She is not taking no for an answer to anything today, and, as a big finale (at least I hope it's the finale) dumped the entire thing of salt out on the table. There were some minor incidents mixed in with those bigger ones. And right now she's screaming incessantly because I told her she can't have a snack (we're having dinner soon). I need it to be MY bedtime. How she managed to do all of these things when I haven't turned my back on her for more than 10 seconds at a time is an amazement to me.
Holy cow.... fortunately you will look back on days like today with affection.... in about 20 years

I totally feel for you! This sounds like my day daily! Between the 3 kids someone is always pushing my buttons! Tonight Izzy dumped a huge cup of water into the floor during bathtime and then when I went to brush her teeth she pitched a fit and kicked all the stuff off the counter and needless to say she is in bed!
Oh my, it does sound like quite a day. I had one of those a few weeks ago where Brandon was acting like a total beast. At one point he threw a screaming tantrum and he actually started hitting me. It was very hard to keep myself calm that day but I did because of the baby. By the time Chris got home I was in tears. Three has been a much worse number for us than two. At two he got into mischief, but now he gets into mischief intentionally and he has an attitude to go with it. He does have his moments though where he's completely sweet and adorable and it's moments like those that remind me why we want to do this all over again. I hope you have a better day tomorrow.

When my oldest DD was 18 months old I was 9 months pregnant, staying at my in laws b/c we were moving cities and she was a nightmare. She actually threw a plate of eggs at me in front my MIL-I have never marched a kid so fast to a time out (mostly for my benefit) in all of my life. I swear they can tell when your reserves are low!
