Ordered the Hospital Picture/Coming Home Outfits!

Yahoo

I finally found what I was looking for... well, so I ended up NOT going with pink and frilly for the girl option, but I'm satisfied with what I got and the price that I got them for!

I saw these in the mall with MIL a few weeks ago, but they only had NB size. Well, looking around online didn't get me anywhere either. Both my boys were "NB size" by weight (7lbs 3oz and 7lbs 5oz), but somehow they were swimming in their NB outfits I had at the hospital with me. So, I've been searching for Preemie size.

Well, out of the blue I found them... and at only $25.97 after shipping!!!!

and

Yahoo

Those r great! Especially since you are team green... (right?).

And yes... the homecoming outfit for each baby of mine has been a big deal. I try and get a special neat set that comes with a matching blanket. Then, I'm saving them to go in a memory chest for each child. Smile

Not me. Had a homebirth with Jonathan and planning the same thing with this little one. He/she can wear whatever someone pulls out of the drawer. Wink

Janelle - They are adorable! and so practical!

I ordered Hayleigh's "big sister" outfit for when she meets the baby at the hospital but I will use the same outfit I brought Hayleigh home in for this LO (we were team green then as well)

This was Hayleigh's outfit

Hayleigh's head was so big though, she didn't fit the hat! LOL!

Yes I usually do a 'coming home outfit' I am guessing that I will also need premie size for the girls. I need to start looking!

Those are super cute! I might have to go check them out! I need to find a "big sister" outfit for Catie too. As far as a coming home outfit for Catie, I brought two or three options to the hospital, because I didn't know what would fit her. She ended up coming home in a cute little outfit that had been a gift from a friend.

Very cute. I bought the baby a little brother onesie at BRU last week but I'm still searching for the right coming home outfit. Brandon was early and not quite 6 lbs. so his coming home outfit was huge on him but it was adorable. It was a cute set with frogs and it had a onesie, a sleeper, a gown, a blanket, and a hat. I would love to find another set, especiallly since I'm not sure what the weather will be like so I want something with multiiple pieces.

Gosh, I must have have had mega baby. Y'all are talking about newborn and preemie sizes. My little guy was exactly 9 pounds, and I never had anything newborn, he went straight to 0-3 months.

Lol I guess they must fit different depending on the baby. My biggest baby was DS and he was only 5lbs 13 oz and preemie stuff fit him, but it fit him well. He was definitely out of preemie stuff by 7-8lbs and newborn by 10-12lbs (depending on the brand). I got a newborn outfit for this baby, newborn stuff fit DS fine at birth and his going home outfit and most of his clothes were newborn at that point. I worry that if I bought a preemie outfit I'd end up having a 7-8lb baby and it wouldn't fit. I believe he was 5lbs 7 oz or 9oz at discharge and this was him in a newborn size outfit

Ok that picture is absolutely adorabe.

Brandon was 5lbs. 14 oz. (but 20 inches) but he was six weeks early (I'll always wonder how big he would have been if he had been full-term. All the NB clothes were way too big for him but the preemie stuff was perfect. He was in preemie clothes for about a month, until he was about 8 or 9 lbs. We'll be getting a NB outfit for this baby but I might put one of Brandon's old preemie outfits in there just in case...

Ok, I found a pic of Brandon in his coming home outfit (size NB), the day we brought him home. You can see he is swimming in that outfit, poor little guy.

Josiah was just an oz less, he was only 18 inches though. He was a little early too, I was 36 weeks 4 days when I had him. My other two were 5lbs 9oz and 5lbs 5oz, both right around 35 weeks about the same lengths, except my second who was a little shorter. They say about a half lb a week at the end, so I figure if I had gone to my due date(s) my kids would have been 7-8lbs. I feel like this one is bigger, but I felt the same with DS too and he really wasn't (4oz bigger than my first but he was also almost 2 weeks later than her)

Brandon is too cute, just love those tiny newborns!

I found a couple pics of Daniel, and I'm uploading them now.. will post in a bit. But I'm confident it will take me a LONG time to find one of Jacob as we were not yet digital when he was born so I'd have to go through my photo boxes and that always takes me forever cause I like to reminisce.

I am hoping the in-laws pull through with some Ohio State (DH's favorite team) outfit to bring him home in. I might need to drop some hints lol. Both of my boys came home in a Chargers (My favorite team!) outfit that was a gift, it was newborn and even though they were both big boys (8lb 8oz, and 9lb 13oz) it was big on them.

I have another outfit I got with frogs on it that is adorable and has a big frog face on the butt that I might use as well, and maybe save the Ohio State one for first picture!

Here's Daniel just 5 days old.

And here is "the picture outfit" we bought for him. He's 2 weeks and 4 days old in this picture and he still didn't fit in it. You can't see the legs in this pic, but he had a good 2 inches before his feet were in the "feet" of the sleeper.
