Pregnancy mask?

I never had it with DD but I think I am getting it around my mouth with this one. Or I screwed up my make-up this morning.

Anyone have it?

lmao @ "or I screwed up my makeup this morning" hahahaha!

I only had it with DS2, and it was just in the first few weeks of pregnancy, thats one of the reasons I knew I was pregnant before the BFP, I had this weird patchy dry skin mask on my cheek.

My mw says it's not what they call pregnancy mask but ever since a few months after my BFP I have gotten this red rash looking thingy around my mouth and chin area. At one point it was real itchy and felt like elephant skin. Googling it I took the suggestion to put extra virgin olive oil on it and it really helped but I've stopped and the redness is back, not the itchiness.

It is not itchy. Is is a brown shadow that looks like a moustach and gotee (sp?). I will have a better look at it once I wash my make-up off tonight!

I have it, didn't have it with any of my pregnancies until this one and it's on my legs! It's the weirdest thing. My midwife was a little concerned at first but called in an ob and they both agreed that it's the pregnancy mask, just on my legs. I get lots of weird looks when I'm in shorts Lol They've told me it'll get darker the more that area is exposed to the sun, so I've been trying to stay in knee-length skirts for the most part since it's on my thighs down to my knees. They also said it doesn't always go away after pregnancy, that it'll fade though and were talking about sending me to a dermotologist. Honestly though, if it were on my face I'd see a dermotologist but on my legs I don't think it's too bad, we'll see how much it fades over the next year

According to the research I did online, yes but Mandi now has me worried. I really have to see it without my makeup on since I jsut noticed it today - it could be nothing. It is definately not as bad as the pictures I saw online. Mine just looks like a shadow...

It's probably good that it's just starting now, I've had mine for quite a while now and it's fairly dark depending. I actually noticed it early in the pregnancy but didn't bring it up until 26 weeks because the weather was warmer and i was in shorts more often Lol I'll have to take a picture of it at some point.

Not an idiot, most woman don't get it. It is a discolouration of your skin (usually brownish). Google has a lot of gross pictures. Usually it is not that severe!

I think it looks like when a fake (lotion) tan begins to come off. Kind of blotchy and brown.

I don't really have it, but I have noticed that across my nose and cheekbones (where I usually get a few freckles in the summer) I've had a little bit of darkening, which I wouldn't think was unusual if I'd been out in the sun, but I haven't. I just chalked it up to pregnancy. It's definitely not the full blown pregnancy mask, though.
