ugh, I so know the feeling! what line of work are you in? Im an office manager for a real estate company, but Im currently laid off, its the slow season.

I took dayquil for my cold without even thinking about it an right away checked online to see if it were safe, just in case, and yes, it is, phew I scared myself! Im feeling good today on the cold front, but boy am I quesy! I can't get it to go away, and I just had to clean the bathroom and that made it worse.

Is anyone else having a severe reaction to toothpaste? lol

I was going to start one of these threads yesterday, but I post so much as it is, didnt want to be annoying!

I totally need to vent as well! We are getting ready to move/put our house on the market and I am so sick with this pregnancy that I can barely take care of DD, let alone pack up the whole house, get it sparkling clean, etc. so that we can put it on the market. DH understands that I'm sick, but he's completely frustrated, stressed out, and overwhelmed because it's too much for just one person to do- not to mention that he's at work all day. I don't know how everything is going to get done. I'm so exhausted and I can't see how we're going to do this. Right now DH is at the "new" house for the inspection (I put new in quotes because it's not actually new... just new to us ;)). Our real estate agent is supposed to come by our current house tomorrow to see what we've done to get it ready, but we're not even close to being finished. I don't know what's going to happen. We really need to get it on the market ASAP.

I am so sorry that you are having a horrible day at work! I hope it gets better! Managers can be so frustrating sometimes! Of course there are some good ones out there who will take responsibility to their own mistakes, but why is it that so many of them try to make it anyone's fault but their own?! Anyway, I hope the rest of your day is much better!

Kate I'm an RN case manager and I work for a large insurance comp, so lot of red tape! The biggest plus to this job is that I work from home and work regular hours, much better then being a floor nurse at a hospital!

I am glad that your starting to feel better. I have been battling a cold since just before I O'd, it stinks! So when are you planning on testing again???

Heather do you guys have any family or friends that can lend a hand? I can't imagine trying to pack up a house and keep it spotless when you can't hardly get showered...LOL
How is the housing market in your area Heather? I'm in NC and its kinda slow. There are 3 house in my subdivision that have been forsale for at least 9 months.

Kate, I don't know if it's a reaction to toothpaste, or just brushing my teeth in general, but it often makes me throw up or come close to it (sorry, that's gross). I remember it happening when I was pregnant DD as well.

A friend of mine was going to come play with DD today so I could get some packing done without DD's "help" but her heat went out, so she had to stay home and wait for the repairman. Another friend kept DD one day last week so that I could get some stuff done. I did, but not as much as I had hoped because I was just too sick to really be productive. Another friend helped DH move some of our furniture into storage. My brother lives in town, and he's going to help us with some stuff we need to have done around the house (paint touch-ups, basically) but he runs his own business and is extremely busy. Keep in mind that most people don't know that we're expecting yet... we may have to break down and tell a few people so that we can get some help, but I had really wanted to wait to announce it until we heard a heartbeat.

The housing market is slow, like everywhere, but not as bad as a lot of areas of the country. We have a fantastic real estate agent and she is confident that we'll be able to sell in a reasonable amount of time. We just have to be realistic about where we price it.

Sorry about the work stress Sad
I just got the workout video I ordered this weekend and I can't wait to try it out. It's the Lindsay Brin 1st trimester workout, I got her Postnatal Bootcamp after DS and I really liked it so I am hoping this time that staying in shape while pregnant will help me feel better and make it even easier to lose the weight postpartum.

Mandi let me know how you like it! I lost 60lbs last year, but I have gained 15lbs back since my miscarriage in November....I'm an emotional eater  Anyway, I can't wait for it to warm up so I can go out and walk again, but I am interested in some easy indoors workouts too!

Yay, my midwife called to talk to me about my test results (I called and got them from a nurse last night) and she confirmed that everything looks good and she put an order for me to go in for an ultrasound in 2 weeks to give me a due date! She actually offered to do it next week but since I might only be 5.5 weeks next week I wanted to wait so we can for sure see something. I'm excited Biggrin

That is SOOO exciting! I can't wait to get in for some labs, athough I will be VERY stressed and I HOPE I can convince my OB to schedule an US! They don't usually do one unless there is an issue until 20 weeks, BUT since I had a MC in Nov I'm hoping that they will cave!

I bet if you explain how worried you are with your history they'd do one. My mw's practice is the same, usually no u/s until 20 weeks but since I have no LMP they want to get a fairly accurate due date so we need an early u/s.

Toothpaste makes me gag (so does seeing spit on the sidewalk - just thinking of it made me gag)!

I am sorry so many of you are having rough days! Hope everything starts to improve!

Anyone else having trouble getting dinner made? I'm so nauseous that it's hard to even think about food or cooking. DH made homemade pizza the other night, and he and DD have been eating the leftovers for dinner... I can't even be in the same room with it, which is sad because I usually love it! It looks like they're having leftovers again tonight!

No, I used the wandfro (sp?) ones, which make me worry more since they have a record of being great for early testing. I did another one after dinner, and clearly just as negative. I'll test again in the morning, which is suggested anyway.

Do not count yourself out yet! 10dpo is too early to be using an IC with anything other then fmu. I have been using the Wondfro tests too and my lines are still very faint on them w/ fmu! PLEASE test with fmu tomorrow!!!!! Biggrin

Hi everyone. I dont post much and I havent made a space yet because Im tooooooo nervous with all my repeated losses. Everytime I make a space and start talking and getting to know everyone I have to move on. I did get another beta yesterday to ease my mind until my ultrasound on tuesday. the number went from 694 on monday to 2635 on thursday. I was just praying for a number over 1000 so thats even better. Im suspose to be studying for the nursing boards but my brain is so foggy that Im getting simply problems wrong. Today was the first day that I felt sick to my stomach it was from brusing my teeth also. I was sitting here thinking that with my last 3 babies I didnt get sick only when I brushed my teeth.

Girl I gove you props! I went thru the RN program straight out of high school, I wasn't married yet nor had any kids. I don't know how people do it that have families, it's so hard! Its a great accomplishment to complete any RN program and boards! Congrats!

So, dh told his parents at the end of the week :-? I had wanted to wait a little longer to tell people but I guess I did tell him he could tell them whenever he wanted to. I just figured I'd have some advance notice. So I had to tell my parents last night. I have to say, I was expecting the worst but they reacted very well. My mom actually seemed happy which was a shock after her acting disappointed when we announced #3 (which is so odd since #3 was planned and this one was not, we just told everyone at Christmas that we were done Lol ) My dad seemed genuinely shocked, but happy. He told us we were crazy and that we'll be busy. Overall didn't go so bad. I just know that now that they know it's going to slowly trickle to everyone and I had wanted to wait until closer to the end of the first trimester. Oh well. I'll probably just go ahead and announce on facebook when I get my ultrasound on the 25th.

Hi girls. Lazy weekend here. I woke up stressing about all of this this morning at 5am. Add to that, the fact that i need to get back into the groove with my business. (slowly growing a home based sewing business. I make fun little accessories; reusable sandwich bags, burp cloths, bags, etc etc. Alot of my stuff is custom orders really) I was supposed to teach Sunday school but the kids woke up at 6 and i am just tired.

Started to feel some nausea on nipped it in the bud with some fooooood.

Tonight I am going to work. Meeting my youth group kids (I am a youth minister) at Panera. This is our "Social Sunday." We try to go out to Panera once a month. It's good to see the kids, but it will be very hard NOT to tell them.

As for shopping? I only go out with all 3 kids if DH is with me. It is RARE when I take them all out on my own. It has been known to happen though. We generally do our grocery shopping together, unless it's a night where I have worked late and Dh is home with the kids. The twins are on such a strict schedule. Their own, not one I enforced. They are done by 7pm. I'd like for them to stay up later, but they are ready at 7pm. My 3 yr old is a night owl. She'd rather stay up and help me "sew" than sleep.

I've always wanted to learn to sew and knit, maybe someday....I really dont have any talent for stuff like that!

AFM...I've had the worse sinus headache. I really feel bad, I even took a 2 hour nap which did help some, but thankfully I had some plain Sudafed in the house from my last pregnancy and I think it is starting to kick in already along with the Tylenol. I hope that I can nip this in the bud early! Ugh! I am going to my Mom's for dinner in a short and I'm hoping that maybe the food sill help too.

Erin, I taught myself how to knit using knittinghelp.com. I'm no pro but I can do a lot of the basics like blankets, hats and booties. I have yet to actually finish a sweater which I'd really like to do.
Sewing I taught myself too. I just bought a sewing maching and practiced on scraps and with cheap, easy projects. My first project was a sling, my second was a diaper. Diapers are actually easy for me (well fitteds, I get nervous working with the waterproof fabric since it costs so much more and there's no fixing it if you mess up). I'll be sewing some more newborn fitteds for this baby, I loved the ones I made with DS but I didn't have enough, I had to use prefolds too and I'm not a huge prefold fan.
DH is halfway across the country tonight Sad Daytime isn't much of a change but I sure miss him at night, it's going to be a long week.

AWWWWWWWW I knit and crochet. I just found this thing call the kniffty knitter and love it. It makes knitting scarves so much faster. Im in the process of getting ready to make my own kniffty knitter using wood and nails instead of the plastic they use. Theirs is small and I want to make baby blankets without having to stitch a bunch of pieces together, so Im making a board the size of the blanket I want to make, and making the nails closers together so that I dont have to use bulky yarn. My husband bought me a sewing machine for christmas and I bought the fabric but I dont know where to begin. I did buy a pattern for nursing uniforms so I know I want to make that but dont know much else like how to start or anything.

I like to knit/crochet/sew/embroider. I'm not particularly good at any of them... I mostly stick to the basics, but I enjoy it. Smile I would also really love to learn how to make a sweater. One of my best friend's stepmom is a fantastic knitter- we're going to get her to teach us a few things the next time she comes to visit. She makes the most adorable baby sweaters!

I crochet but I would like to take up knitting as well. I used to do just blankets but I've recently started doing other crochet projects as well. My MIL bought me the most beautiful yellow handspun yarn that I made a scarf with. I crocheted my aunt a prayer shawl (she has lymphoma) for Christmas and I made my sisters scarves.

Today was our first anniversary and we went to Roy's Hawaiian. We had to take our son with us because we have no sitter and we were nervous because he's prone to toddler tantrums but he was so well-behaved. An older couple stopped by the table to compliment him on his behavior. I pigged out which I've been doing a lot lately...I am hungry all the time but it all makes me super nauseous. I had a bit of a rough time with some of the smells, like the fish but it wasn't too bad. I'm feeling super bloated now though, lol.

spotting is back :-? it did come back after some...um, straining  ....and I took yet another pregnancy test and the test line is so dark that the control line is just barely there. I'm starting to wish I agreed with my midwife and went in for an ultrasound this week instead of next. I mean, logically I know next week is better because we'll likely see a heartbeat at that point too whereas this week it'd be really iffy unless I'm further along than I think. The spotting isn't heavy, but it's just something I don't like seeing. I've never had spotting before this pregnancy. Everything else is going great, numbers are doubling, symptoms are definitely there; I just wish I could fast forward to the second trimester!

I am sorry that you are having some spotting. I do agree though that next week is probably a better time for an US and you should definately see a HB then. I hope it stops soon.

AFM...I been up cleaning and organizing this AM. I am feeling some better, but man I am dizzy. I think I just have alot of head congestion and my ears feel full too. Oh well, the boys are here with me today because school is out and life goes on....:D

I mean, logically I know next week is better because we'll likely see a heartbeat at that point too whereas this week it'd be really iffy unless I'm further along than I think. The spotting isn't heavy, but it's just something I don't like seeing. I've never had spotting before this pregnancy. Everything else is going great, numbers are doubling, symptoms are definitely there; I just wish I could fast forward to the second trimester!

after straining, some spotting is normal. I cant wait to hear how your sono goes next week!

Kate do your IC tests seem to be getting darker? I would highly recommend buying a pack of FRER's, they are very sensitive and you should get an answer with them. Of course being a POASaholic, I would buy another pack of digi's too...LOL

Im pretty annoyed today, I absolutely have to go to the grocery store and because school is out I have to take both the boys Sad Usually its just me and Colin which is okay. Aiden is a pain in the store, he gets Colin all riled up and then they are both crazies.

I haven't been posting to much because I have been feeling really crappy. I'm not sleeping well because my carpal tunnel is really bad at night. Then during the day I have tons of body aches, it feels like every joint in my body needs to pop kwim? I don't get a break because DH is in ND working on a rig for the next month or so Blum 3

Sorry about the poor me post, I just had to get this out to someone! I'm not planning on telling anyone we're pregnant for a while so I can't really whine to my family.

Sarah-Sorry you're feeling so under the weather. Whenever Chris would travel for work it would be so hard on me so I can't imagine how hard it must be to be on your own, pg, with little ones to take care of.

Kate-You should try a FRER. When I got my BFP, my IC was super faint but my FRER showed a very clear second line.

Lenora & Erin- I don't think they are sold where I live, so I have to wait till I can get to walmart and rite aid. But I'll try that brand!!

as for knitting-I love knitting, more only know how to make hats and longies. I also sew quite a bit, mostly childrens clothing and bags.

Well I'm back from the store and it actually wasn't bad at all. the boys were both really good! I decided I needed some caffeine (have not had any since I found out I was pregnant) so I drank a Dr. Pepper and it was sooooooooo good!!! omg I miss soda so much!

I crochet as well but would love to learn to knit or sew. I made a blanket for each of my boys when they were born. I have a chunky sofa blanket that I'm working on but I need to go buy more yarn so its just sitting in a bag. My grandma taught me how to crochet when I was really young and when I got pregnant with my first I watched a few videos on youtube as a "refresher" on how to do it. Some of the stitches can be really complicated but I usually just do basic stuff.

I have to take a ferry to get to the "mainland" where walmart and such are. We have a pharmacy, but I dont think they sell them there.

Do you go to the Greenport side or the Sag Harbor side to shop?
