ready to launch!

36 weeks!!! WOOT!

so hubbie says to me recently that going on rides on the 4 wheels can help kick start labor. and then i mentioned that nipple stimulation and DTD can as well. So i told him that when i hit 37 we would take a ride every evening on the 4wheeler, ride into the nearest corn field, DTD and make sure to include NS, and that it will hopefully help to kick start labor! LOL there are advantages to country bumpkin living Wink

on the serious side, while i joke and i do have bad preggo days where i am just ready to have her already, i am enjoying feeling her move. i JUST started to feel the positioning of her feet and feeling them run along my belly. i dont wanna rush it, but boy i have my days where IM DONE!

Lol I did go on a small snowmobile ride the day I went into labor with DS, it wasn't really bumpy though, it was just around our yard to test out dh's new snowmobile. I'm not sure that's what did it but who knows
Yay for 36 weeks! That's my goal, 3 weeks seems so far away though! I know it'll be here before I know it but right now time's starting to drag. Good thing I still have a million things to get done Lol

LOL that's so amusing Lauren, because that's what MY hubby would say. DTD, wtf is that, we haven't done anything in well, umm, months? He had his chance a few months ago but chose not to take my offer, sooooo, now he's gotta wait till I'm up to it after she's born, AND he'll have to wear a condom, which he's not fond of but will use just because "hense this oops!". And I don't even feel bad about it, he DID have his chance LOL. I commend anyone whos this far along and can even do it once a week, not me!!

DH has gotten to the point where he is too scared to touch me even though I am really in the mood most days! I told him yesterday that he will get a pass for the next 3 weeks and then its over! I want these girls here ~36 wks so he will just have to get over it! LOL

um, for the record, there has been very little DTD going on on my end! hard to get me in the mood when i cant get my DH to make feel even remotely attractive. when i feel huge and unattractive and vocalize it, all i get in response is "your pregnant, of course your huge" !!!! um, that does NOT help. however, i will whip out some lube and get it on in the efforts to meet my daughter! ROFL after all, from what i read, isnt it the sperm/semen that is what helps it along, not the female orgasm, right??

Sperm/semen contains pitocin, which as we all know, is used in the hospitals to induce labour. If your body is close to being ready then yes, LOTS of dtd will help. Also, orgasm's DO help, because your body is contracting, which can help bring her lower into the birth canel.

It's a really weird thing, but yes, orgasm and lots of semen from hubby will help, but remember, things usually only help IF your body is close to being ready, or is ready :). Doing other things like walking, eating fresh pineapple, bumpy rides etc, will help things as well.

Lol, I hope you enjoy that ride Wink

We are still pretty active here (at least once or twice a week), but not as active as I would like.

I hear you. Since I'm not really supposed to DTD this week, I'm feeling the aggression build up in me that usually leads to a rough and tumble in the sack. :bwush: On Sunday, I attempted (before I was put on rest) to have a quicky with DH, but the foreplay was too good for him, cause he got his before I even got started. He tried to go on anyway, but it only led to disappointment. Sad

Oh, and... Just a small correction... Semen does NOT contain pitocin... I contains Prostaglandins (sp?) that help to ripen the cervix. Nipple stimulation releases Oxytocin (the natural pitocin) and that can cause contractions.

Lenora, im so jealous!

Janelle, i am in the same boat, cept im allowed to DTD!

First, let me say that he doesnt last too long since i've been preggo, (for the record, not a problem when im preggo) so he doesnt get much action from me. he definately doesnt need any help HAHA. second, him on top is uncomfy for me, and me on top is uncomfy for him. Him from behind only benefits HIM. and as i vented about last week, im too swollen to get ANYTHING out of ANYTHING. and with my YI last week, im not sure if i am allowed to DTD yet. how long after medication for YI is taken can you DTD?? i would really like to get SOMETHING before this little girl arrives...

Ekcanada: i plan on it and if Kendra is anything like me and brian, she will be one hell of stubborn child and will definately come when she is good and ready! she already plays the stubborn game with her daddy Biggrin

So let me say I'm just jealous you guys have someone to dtd with. I think that now that I'm just not allowed to per doc its even worse lol.. I'm counting on 1 more week as well. I told sara at the horse barn that when I hit 37 weeks to saddle up Clipper our bomb proof quarter horse. I trust him to not spook or dump me off. I figure a couple of trips around the area at a trot might help do the trick. Lmao

I rode almost every day of my pregnancy with DD, including the day before I went in for my induction... didn't help! And I have to say that trotting while pregnant was pretty much the most uncomfortable thing EVER! The round ligament pain was unbearable! This time around I haven't been able to ride as much, and now my horse is lame, it's not even an option :-(.

i have my good days and my bad days! HAHA i said 37 weeks cause technically that is considered full term, but we all know the longer the better. im enjoying the movement and i do want more time, Kendra doesnt hurt when she kicks. she is very mild and the kicks i do get are in my upper belly and my right side. no complaints about that. im exhausted and sleep deprived and i had a bad day yesterday and crmaping bad so i've been grouchy lately. but rightnow she is in my back and sleeping, which gives me a break! :clappy:

BUT...... the female orgasm (if achievable in our state.. some women find it difficult) IS a contraction in and of itself. Wink
