Dinner at our favorite restaurant is always nice: http://www.leblonsteakhouse.com/
We only go there once a year, usually for our anniversary. August 12th can't get here soon enough.
We usually go for dinner on date nights.

Also in the "whats that category".. If we get an actual date night we nomrally do dinner and a movie... But if I could.. I would love to go out to dinner with the restaurant group in our area and try new restaurants and meet new people. We are newish to our area so we only really have the friends that DH went to College with. Not that I dont like hanging out with them, but would like to make friends of my own in our area.
We don't often have date night, but when we do we like to go out for dinner/drinks. Occasionally to something like the ballet or symphony. Sometimes we'll chip in for a babysitter with friends and all go out to eat... and actually get to finish a conversation!
We don't go out for date nights at the moment. We haven't found a babysitter here yet. But, we do try and make most Friday nights our "datenight." Sometimes we'll feed the kids something simple and put them to bed early and then make a really nice meal just for us to eat together. Sometimes DH will get takeout just for us adults and the kids will have leftovers... We try and watch a movie or play a game once the kids are in bed. The main thing is that we get some uninterrupted time just to be together... no kids, no internet, no phones... that kind of thing.
If we could have a going out date night. I'd love to do dinner and then see some type of drama/dance production. That happens once in a blue moon though.
What's that? When we do find someone willing to babysit it's usually just dinner for us, which is fine. We like to try new places but we have pretty much gone to the same restaurant for our anniversary every year.

Movies usually. I like dinner too but I prefer a movie. We haven't had a date night in a very long time, probably valentine's day.

Date nite? you mean like AirForceWife said, adult time uninterrupted, no phone, internet, tv...um, NEVER! LOL DD is gone for the next 6 weeks so im hoping he will step up his game, but we shall see. i am typically content staying home making a nice dinner, candlelight and snuggling up and just talking, the two of us, no interruptions.
