What was your first job?

My first job was a McJob. I worked at McDonald's as a cashier/server... for about 2 weeks. Then my gramma died and I dreaded going to work. My dad went to pick me up from work thinking I was on schedule that day (I wasn't) and they told him that "it wasn't really working out" so I quit the next day before they could fire me.

Hardly anyone survives their first job without quitting or being fired, right? Especially at 16 years old.

I got my first job when I started college. I worked in the mail room as a mail clerk for our "college" (the university was broken into little colleges). After the first year I was promoted to manager. It was a fun, easy job, but I used to have to work summers.

I was the game room attendant at the local sports bar/pizza place  I made change for the kids while there parents drank and cashed out the pool tables when the drunks were finished, I did however make great tips because people were usually too buzzed to count right!!

I worked as a chambermaid for 3 weeks before i got a job as a presenter at our Science center. Pay was about the same but people live like pigs in a place that isn't theirs!

Life guard at a city pool.. I did have a great tan that summer, just hated dealing with the kids that would get dropped off as soon as the pool opened and didn't get picked up until the pool closed.

My very first job was babysitting, I think I was 14 or 15 when I started working at Burger King, I worked at Hardees for a while in my teens too and then Shopko in my later teens and at a nursing home as a CNA for a while.

I started at a General Store in my home town making pizzas and subs and such. I hated it. Worked there until I started college

When I was 10 and 11, I picked raspberries in the summer for a neighbor lady. Then when I was 12, I started picking strawberries.
