It's your turn!
What is your favorite movie? Your favorite book? Your favorite food?
How did you and DH meet? Any wedding pictures?
Do you have any pets? Do you have any hobbies?
How are you decorating the nursery?
What do you like to read?
What do you do for a living, or what did you do in the past?
What is your favorite movie? The Pursuit of Happiness, My husband and I identify with it so much, when I got pregnant with Aiden we were actually homeless and worked our way out of that situation, we have had ups and downs and times where we didn't know if we would make it one more day but we stayed together and stayed strong and it was all sooooooo worth it for where we are at now.
Your favorite book? I used to read constantly but now not so much, I was always a HUGE fan of anything by Anne Rice. I love vampire books in general
Your favorite food? OMG...this is so hard!! I'm a total foodie!! I would have to say I love love love a really good steak, medium rare. or maybe thats just what I'm craving right now!!?? I also love pretty much anything my grandma makes, I've been wanting this soup she makes on holidays thats broccoli and cheddar cheese with little shrimp in it Mmmmm..its soooo good!
How did you and DH meet? Oooooohhh...good one!! Okay we met when I was 21 and he was 24. I was working overnights at Target and had been there for about a year and a half at that point. They hire seasonal help for major holidays and they hired my future DH. My old manager and I used to look at the incoming applications so we could see what the new guys looked like before they showed up so I knew he was kind of cute lol. Well he showed up that night and I just could not keep my eyes off him!!! He was super shy but he had that "bad boy" look to him, shaved head, earring and tattoos. He was also a redhead which I seriously LOVE and he has these dimples that always show, no matter what. I spent the next few days trying to get him to talk to me because I am pretty loud and always speak my mind. It took me 3 days of bugging him to get him to talk and when he did!!!!!! I melted!!!! He is from Oklahoma and has THE hottest southern accent. I'm from Colorado and people here have a flat accent so it was a huge deal to me.
He really tried to avoid me a lot even though I was making it super obvious that I liked him. I was starting to get really sad because I though he kind of hated me...he was ALWAYS avoiding me! I almost gave up on him but then on Valentines day he showed up at work with a single red rose and cornered me at the lockers in the break room and asked me to be his Valentine I said yes and he ended up kissing me that night before we went home.
Any wedding pictures? I got pregnant with Aiden 9 months after we started dating so we waited to get married. We had a small ceremony at the courthouse but it was still so awesome!! It was St. Patricks day and It was so sunny and beautiful so the judge did everything right out in front of the courthouse instead of inside. Heres some pics from our day Sorry if these are HUGE:
Saul and I and my dorky little brother
Aiden in his Tux
Right before the Judge came out
Some of the pics we had done at my studio (I was working for Olan Mills at the time)
This one is most of the people who came to our wedding and us, it's my immediate family. DH's family didn't attend.
Do you have any pets? We do I'm a total animal lover so my house always has to have animals!! Here are my current Furbabies:
Zero is my little lover kitty, he sleeps with me and follows me around the house all day. DH says he's my "boyfriend" because when he sleeps with me he plants his head right in my boobs!
Sidney is a Pitbull/boston terrier mix that we got when we were first dating. Someone we knew had puppies and basically just abandoned them and moved away and we ended up keeping her, she was 3 weeks old when we got her and we had to bottle feed her. She had a litter of puppies 4 weeks before Aiden was born which was a pain in the butt! But on the plus side she has always viewed the boys as her babies too, she gets really worried when they are outside or out of her sight. she also will sit right next to the tub and whine when they take a bath because she's afraid of water and hates that I put them in water.
This is Eva, shes a purebred APBT that DH bought for the boys in March when she was 10 weeks old. She acts like the boys little bratty sister. She follows them EVERYWHERE!
Do you have any hobbies? Mostly stuff I can do at home. I spend a lot of time on my computer. I used to play World Of Warcraft when DH had a job that allowed him to be home at night (we played together). I crochet sometimes, I've made a blanket for each baby and I've made some little baby hats and things but nothing too serious. I really love to cook, It used to be a passion of mine but with kids it's hard to make a fancy meal that they will eat! My grandmother runs a catering business so I help her with that a lot. I've recently started gardening and I love it but it's frustrating!! we are renting right now so I am gardening in containers and my plants keep dying lol!
How are you decorating the nursery? We are not really doing a nursery for now. I'm planning to breastfeed and co-sleeping works best for us while breastfeeding so we will be setting up everything in our room for the time being. I have looked online at some crib bedding and I LOVE this set from Target: http://www.target.com/DwellStudio-Target-Space-Bedding-Collection/dp/B002SDGHNG/ref=sc_ri_2?ie=UTF8&node=15810461
I was planning on doing a space theme for my older sons room so I might do a space themed nursery as well
What do you do for a living, or what did you do in the past? Right now I stay at home but eventually I hope to work in the medical field. I got my Medical Assisting certifications last year and I'd really like to use those once I got back to work. I was an MA in a pain treatment clinic for a while but it wasn't really a good fit for me, it felt a lot more like we were just glorified drug dealers rather than medical professionals. I'd love to work for a pediatricians office or maybe for an OB/GYN or Midwives office.
Before went back to school I was a photographer for Olan Mills for a few years and I loooooved that job but hated the sales aspect of it. If I could have just done the photography and not had to try to sell people crazy amounts of products I would have stayed there.
