Sleep!

Ok...who's sleeping? Audrey was an ok sleeper a couple of months ago, she would give me a 5-6 hour stretch, eat and go back down for about another 3-4. She had a growth spurt around 4 months where she was eating every 2 hours over night...and she's never really gone back! She goes about 4 hours, then 3, and 2-3 after that. I am tired!

We JUST moved her into her crib in her own room a couple of night ago. She's been sleeping in the cradle next to our bed cause her room wasn't done. She was too big for the cradle, so I was sure that had something to do with it. She is sleeping fine in the crib, but still waking a lot. Shes not a comfort nurser at all, so if she is looking to eat I do believe she is hungry. But I also think she's gotten a little in the habit of having to nurse back to sleep.

I've started tonight to wean her from the swaddle. Left her little arm out, and she had to be soothed about 4 times in the first hour and half after bedtime. She's been fine in the 3 hours since that though. Sigh. Hailey never slept through the night from bedtime to morning till 16 months, so I know it will be a while, but I would like more than 3 hours at a time!!

I had a great sleeper initially.. she was STTN pretty early, just like big sis did. Seems to be regressing now, though. She's waking up 1-2 times per night, and tends to time that last waking so that I can't fully get back to sleep before the AM alarm.. Wink I thought she outgrew the swaddle and was going to panic (b/c she does NOT sleep well unswaddled!) but DH figured out a different way to wrap and it mostly works again.

Not sure what the issue is here, no changes in routine, so maybe it's just one of those things that happens at this age and stage?

Same boat here. They were better sleepers as NB and then at 4 months they both regressed. Although, Kaylee got two teeth in and they slept a lot better last night. With her not waking up Brad is able to sleep. I hope they start STTN soon, mama needs sleep!

Hope sleep gets better for you soon.

At about two months CJ was doing great, just about STTN. Then right around Christmas he regressed and it's been awful since, very hit or miss. On a bad night he will be up every 2-3 hours. On a good night he will go an 8 hour stretch before waking. Then there's a lot of in between. He sleeps from about 8pm to 7am and on average wakes up 1-2 times a night. The last two nights he's slept from 8-4 and then 4-7 so we're hoping that trend continues.

We're not sleeping either. We had one week right around Christmas when Ronan slept through the night (I guess that was my present). Other than that week, the last six months have been sheer sleep deprivation. One of my best friends actually kept both of my kids last night (thankfully I had plenty of milk pumped) so that I could get a little sleep, since I've been starting to do scary things, like doze off while sitting at a red light after dropping Catie at school. No good! I'm so thankful for the sleep last night! I was so exhausted that it outweighed not wanting to leave my babies. I knew they were in good hands and jumped at the chance to get a full night's sleep! On any given night, Ronan will get up anywhere from one to four or five times.
