So we have started solids and we have tried carrots and squash. Next up is peas. My question is when should I start introducing fruit? I've let them have bananas once (which they loved) and blueberries (not their cup of tea) because I couldnt resist. I just don't want to add them too soon and have them stop taking veggies.
I've introduced prunes and avocados. Up next are apples and bananas. After that I'll probably hold off on other fruits for awhile. Our veggies are sweet potato, peas, carrots, spinach, squash, and green beans. Squash is a definite winner and green beans are not a favourite
DD1 got diaper rashes from most other fruit until a year which is one reason I'm not rushing for fruit.

I started with fruits and CJ does just fine with veggies. So far we've done (in order of introduction): avocado, banana, apples, pears, and green beans. This week I plan to introduce sweet potatoes and maybe peas. Brandon never had a problem with veggies either. I think it's just fine to go ahead and do fruits.

DD1 was great. It didn't matter if I introduced fruit or veggies first, she liked whatever you put in front of her. I dont get that from these babies and I worry that if they get too much sweet they won't like Veggies. Plus ppl keep telling me I HAVE to introduce veggies first. I mixed it up with DD1 but she took to soilds much better. I think after we've done the 4 days with peas we'll move onto mangos or pears.
So far we've only done bananas and applesauce. I mixed it up with DD and she didn't care- actually liked veggies better for a long time (although at the moment she doesn't really want anything to do with them, but she's 3... and stubborn...) I waited until Ronan was six months to start solids, and he is SO not interested. At all. It takes me twenty minutes to convince to have one (small) spoonful. He kind of likes bananas. Wasn't into the applesauce at all. I should probably try a new food, but I've just stuck with those for the time being because I had them on hand. Maybe I should be more concerned about his lack of interest in solid food, but that child is definitely not wasting away (the number of rolls on his thighs is impressive) so I just figure he'll start eating when he's ready, and that as long as I'm offering it to him, that's really all I can do.
We have done Carrots and squash so far. I would like to do more but Maya isn't interested in us feeding her. If we give her toast, mum mum crackers or she takes a taste of DS grilled cheese she is all about it. We are trying our version of BLW.
We are trying Peas and then I think we'll start fruit. I'm thinking either mangos or bananas. Although I'm Feeding them only if they seemed to want it. A few times I've tried to feed Brad and he had no interest. I think by 7 months I'll have a more permanent schedule for their feedings. Right now we are just trying to establish feeding. I have a feeling brad will like fruit more
