strong pelvic pressure after laying on stomach??

so this afternoon I went to the chiropractor and I laid on my stomach for about 5 minutes while he ran the massager thingie on my lower back. I was in that position for about 5 minutes only and he didn't adjust me in that position. It wasn't too uncomfortable, but the baby did move quite a bit.

Fast forward 3 hours... I'm crampish and I have a decent amount of cervical pressure similar to when I was in 5-7 cm dilated and in delivery.

What do you think? is it a coincidence? :help1:

I think you're ok, maybe it's just baby adjusting its position. If the cramps don't let up you may want to call your OB but I think you're ok. I'm more amazed you can lay on your stomach...I haven't been able to do that for months.

It wasn't too uncomfortable but by the end of the 5 minutes or so I was definitely ready to get off of it. My other thought was the actual adjustment might have given baby more wiggle room.. it has been moving and kicking and pushing and shoving and ...... *sigh*

Thanks, Lenora.

Does ur chiropractor bench have a section in the belly area that moves..I went to mine today as well...she has a special table where the middle section pushes down so my belly can fit into it the whole time. I think ur ok as well....honestly since u mentioned it, I've been feeling more pressure as well tonight. Must be something with the adjustments. My guy was quiet all day till afterwards and he's been active since then as well.

Maybe I am just paranoid, but if you are cramping that bad as if you were when you were 5-7 cm dialated I would call your dr. Are you still cramping? I am just worried for you. I'm not necessarily sure that the lying on your stomach had anything to do with it but it's worth a call.

I agree, if you are still cramping I'd probably call your dr just to be safe.
I wouldn't think it'd be from being on your stomach. I still sleep on my stomach every night, it's getting a little more uncomfortable and I'm having to use my body pillow more but I've never had any cramping from it (but the kicks are getting stronger, which is what caused me to stop belly sleeping with my other kids Lol ). Everyone's body is different though so if something doesn't feel right I wouldn't hesistate to call.

I decided to go to bed early and try not to worry about it. It was most painful/irritating when I was upright, so laying in bed helped me to forget about it. I figured if it was a real problem then it would wake me up. It did not. I still felt some frontal soreness when getting up in the middle of the night with Daniel, but no cervical pressure like when I went to bed. It definitely felt like baby was pushing up against my cervix and not letting up when I went to bed.

But on a side note, I'm going to the dr this morning to see someone other than my doctor (she's not in today) because of my BM issue. It's gotten worse and they want me to come in. My appointment is in 45 minutes. So I will mention this all to the doctor as well.

no news is good news I guess. The doc I saw said she was putting down on my chart that she "reassured patient". She thinks that the bm issues I'm having are stress related, possible IBS and diet. And she didn't think it warrants any more tests or what not. Ok. Whatever.

I'm so wiped today that I almost don't care right now. (possibly stress related as well). She told me to take a vacation (haha, yea right).

But on the plus side we got to listen to the heart beat again. Not that I couldn't feel the baby moving through the whole appointment.
