Tylenol dosing?

Does anyone have the Tylenol dosing chart for the new Infant's Tylenol?

Shaylynn has a little fever from her 4 month shots today, and they didn't tell me at the dr. anything about how much to give her and I haven't had to give her any before.

My chart is from when mason was a baby and the Tylenol is totally different. The new dropper doesn't even go in as small amount as .8 which was the old kind.

What is the concentration of the tylenol. If it is 80mg per 0.8ml then for 12 to 17lbs you give 0.8ml. If it 160mg per 5 ml then for 12 to 17lbs you give 2.5ml. My tylenol says infant but it is the childrens concentration, the 160mg. I think they all are all headed towards that now

Mine is the new Tylenol that has 160 mg per 5mL. I did end up finding a chart online last night that compared it to the concentrate kind and had the doses for under 2 years of age because the Tylenol website says ask a doctor for under 2 years. What I found said 2.5mL so that's what I gave her. She hasn't woke up yet this morning, but I felt her head and didn't feel like she had a fever anymore! So glad, I don't remember my son ever having a fever with his vaccines.

I not sure the exact dose but when we were in the hospital the pedi told me that those are just guidelines the company puts forth to save there butts. The dose they can have is more and if you end of in the hospital for a fever they'll just pump your baby full of more Tylenol.

Yeah Stacet is right. My pedi gave me a chart with the old dosage and concentration and the new one.
For the new concentration, 160 mg/5mL
*6-11 lbs. 1.25 mL
*12-17 lbs. 2.5 mL
*18-23 lbs. 3.75 mL
*24-35 lbs. 5 mL

Chris went to give him some the other day and he didn't read the chart right and was about to give him the old dosage which would be 0.8 mL and not 2.5 mL but luckily I caught him in time. My chart says the old drops are three times more concentrated than the new ones.

Wow! I didn't even know there had been a change. We usually use the up and up brand of infant acetaminophen from Target... is the change only with the Infant Tylenol brand?

I believe it's all types of infant medication.

The old concentration is 80 mg/0.8 mL and the new concentration is 160 mg/5 mL. It will say on the bottle which concentration it is.

Thanks... I think we must still have all old bottles.
