I had my 36 week appointment this afternoon. BP good, FHR 150 and had my Strep B test. Doctor did an internal and said my cervix is closed but a little soft. I am currently measuring 41 weeks.
So here is what is bothering me. The doctor today (who I have never seen because there are 4 in the practice) mentioned to me that she thought I should consider a c-section if this baby is over the 90th percentile. He was 88% at my 34 week growth scan. I have another ultrasound scheduled in 2 weeks to check his "estimated" weight again. Between one doctor recommending an induction and another talking C-section, I am freaking out a little.
I know ultrasounds can be off by as much as a pound either way. Half of me wants to go through with the natural labor process and the other part of me says, "Just do what the doctor recommends" I wouldn't be able to forgive myself if the baby did get stuck and had some serious issues because he was too big and I didn't listen to the doctors.
Words of wisdom, please?!
