Well it's October and I'm still here and pg, lol.
I had my second nst of the week yesterday evening. It didn't go so well. It wasn't good but it wasn't bad...he was sleeping and not cooperative. I got a mini lecture about my weight as well. I haven't gained in about six weeks (but I've gained 36 overall) so they were concerned about baby's weight. He told me he thought that baby was stealing my nutrients and causing me to lose weight, so I've been ordered to eat more and gain a little.
I was also sent for a u/s to check weight and a bpp. I went for the u/s first and she said my fluid was borderline low but the bpp confirmed 10.5 which she says isn't low at all. Other than that baby is doing awesome in there, showing no signs of distress. Apparently I don't need to worry about his weight at all, he is measuring at an estimated 8lbs. 12oz (2 lbs. heavier than two weeks ago). I'm hoping the measurements are a bit off but he feels really cramped in there so we'll see.
We have a plan moving forward. At this point, I'm still not even a full fingertip dilated and my contractions are very random and irregular. I thought I figured out what they felt like but yesterday it became apparent that what I think are contractions aren't and the two I had I didn't feel so I'm back to not really knowing what to expect contractions-wise. Next Friday I will be 41w1d and at that time, if baby isn't here (and the bpp and nst is still ok) we will be scheduling a repeat u/s for the following week, sometime before thursday, as the doctor won't allow me to reach 42 weeks. I'm hoping that baby will still come on his own (he is fully engaged) but if not it will be a repeat c/s for me.
