Who else is still waiting? Calling Our Preggo Mommas

Okay, preggo Mommas- I know we still exist on this board Wink

How are things going for all of you?

This last week was my 39 week appointment (39 w, 2 d) and he mentioned scheduling an induction if we make it to this upcoming Thursday's appointment. NOT what I wanted to hear!

I'm still here...despite 2 different bouts of painful contractions 3-7 minutes apart for hours. I am 39 weeks tomorrow, and see the doc on Wed. I think she may strip my membranes if she can. I work Monday and Tuesday, then I am on mat leave. Planning on going to the zoo on Thursday with DH and Hailey, and walk walk walk!

I am pretty miserable. Since about 30 weeks my vomiting slowed down to about once a day, and since Thursday I've been barfing at least 3-5 times a day, and feeling nauseous and gross all day. Mornings I am usually fine, and I don't start feeling sick till mid afternoon, but now its all the time, more like first trimester. If I'm not actually contracting, I'm crampy, I'm exhausted, have had diarrhea on and off since Thursday too. I really hope its my body ramping up to do this by its self, would be nice to not be induced this time.

I'm still here, at least this weekend the contractions have stopped, as I don't really mind still being pregnant as long as I'm not in so much pain. Cervix was still high and posterior at last check on Thursday. 3cm, 75% effaced and baby's head was very low, locked and loaded. I guess that once i do go into labor, i will have a lot less work to do (with dilation and with pushing). my due date is a week from Tuesday.

I'm still here. Not due until the 29th, will be 39 weeks this week. I was checked at the hospital Friday and I'm not even a full fingertip according to the nurse so I'm feeling a little discouraged. At 41 weeks it's an automatic cs so I'm really hoping my body will do something soon.

The machines are showing contractions, and I might actually be feeling some of them a bit, but they're not enough or regular enough to do much.

I'm here, too! I'll be 39 weeks on Wed. and I have my appt that day. Last appt. I was 1 cm. so at least something has been happening. I have been having lots of BH, but nothing really attention getting. I feel like the baby has really dropped the last few days. All in all, I am doing really well, just getting restless. Dang it, I want to meet my baby!

Im curious as to why an automatic cs if over 41 weeks and not an induction??

It would be a repeat c-section for her.

I hope you all get to hold your LO's soon. The last few weeks drug by for me.. especially when I started contracting and making progress.

I'm still here too! I'll be 40 wks on Wed, with DD I went into labour at 39 wks 5 days which would be tomorrow - if that's what happens this time I'd be overjoyed Smile
Very uncomfortable here - she's so low that I feel like I have a watermelon between my legs, my hips are really sore and it's getting super hard to walk. I've had a fair share of contrax, but nothing regular. It's also painful to bend my fingers and toes because they're really swollen. I'm sooooo done. I just want my baby!

Janelle is right. I'm a VBAC patient so my OB won't induce due to the increased risk of uterine rupture from the medications used. I either have to go into labor on my own or it's a repeat c-section for me.

Trust me- it sucks just as hard when your body shows NO SIGN of labor whatsoever! I think a lot of people automatically assume that'd be a nice thing, but it's sooo frustrating because then you are left wondering if your body will ever do it on its own. This is our fifth and last child and each of my kiddos, I've been induced (although my DS6- my water did break on its own, but the moment I got into the hospital- I was put on pitocin even though I argued against it- so I consider that one kinda an induction as well). So I'm hoping and praying to get some sign that active labor will develop... So I feel for you ladies with a lot of action on the labor front when it's not active labor, but I also feel for all of us who are still dealing with ZILCH as far as labor goes!

Prudence, I understand where you are coming from b/c with dd, despite having preterm contrax from 33-36 weeks, at week 37 I had no contrax anymore and at my 39 week induction I was 1 cm, which was nearly no change from weeks prior. I felt like my body didn't know what it was supposed do.

Joni, this was me last time too. Taken off work at 31 weeks with threatened preterm labour, on modified bed rest till just after 36 weeks, and literally the day after the doc said do whatever you want now, the contractions just stopped! I ended up being induced at 40+5! I couldn't believe it. I think I was 1 cm for the last 2-3 weeks, and other than losing my plug a few days before induction, there were no other signs.

At least this time it seems like my body is preparing. That being said at my last visit I was less dilated than I was at this time last pregnancy. Hoping all the painful on and off contractions will show something at my appointment Wednesday.

Just wanted to say I've been there too.

With my last pregnancy, I had no contractions to time (just random ones I'd get, but nothing to make me stop and think about it) at all, until I was in real labor. This time I haven't either and I believe I'm 39 weeks tomorrow.

I finally went into labor at 42 weeks exactly and birthed him at 42+1... sometimes baby is just super stubborn and isn't ready to come out yet. Biggrin
