Doc Appt Update

Saw OB today

She was concerned because I'm borderline anemic even with Iron pills. She said she was going to wait to take any dosage increase till next appt.

She said I was one of the lowest Gestational Diabetes test results she's seen so that's good and BP is still low.

Lucas is still nicely tucked head down but Olivia has decided to flip and is head up into my diaphragm which is why I'm having terrible trouble breathing. I will be talking to her daily to get her to turn back around.

I start NST's at specialist on Thursday - 1x/week specialist and still going every 2 weeks to OB for one more appt and then she will re assess.

ON a side note - I have to pay $25 dollars to get my FMLA leave form filled out. We pay these docs so much I can't believe I have to pay for this stupid form too.

Sounds like things are good. Hope little Olivia turns so you can breath easier.

I am also on iron supplements and am still low....Dr suggested to take iron with a chewable vitamin C tablet to help with absorption.

I was low iron too. My doc gave me samples and I think they are working great. Plus they were free. I'm not sure the name of them tho? I'll check if you'd like?

Glad one is head down. Will your doc deliver if the one furtherest is head down? Or do they have to both be head down to avoid csection?

Ugh on paying for the form. Totally understand!

Joei - thanks for the hint on Vitamin C - I may start that tomorrow. SHe said it is probably why i'm so tired.

Kristina - delivery with 2nd breach depends on 2 things
1 - size of Olivia - as long as she stays Lucas' size or smaller than it's a consideration
2 - who's on call with her - She's not done many 2nd twin breach extractions but there are some docs in our practice who have and would do it. Only caveat would be she would require me to get an epidural at 7-8 cm as the manual turn and or manual extraction is very painful. I'm hoping she turns so we don't have this stress but it's still an option.

I hope she turns for you! Glad things are going well overall!!

My doctor will fill out one form for free, but the 2nd form is $10.00 - I had two with FMLA and short term disability. I tried to get my employer to reimburse, but it was a no-go! Smile

A head in the diaphragm does not sound fun! It really is crazy all the things docs charge for, and how much!!

Saw specialist today - All looked good

Lucas is now 4 lb 7 oz and Olivia is full breach now at 4 lb 12 oz

My hubby got the biggest kick about how they prepped me for the NST - sorry it's naked belly but it was cute

Kristina - I asked about cervix checks and my specialist said he will not be doing any unless I am showing labor signs or much closer to term. He believes they can cause aggravations this early and it's not worth the risk without indications. I bet if I was having BH contractions or other issues they would.
