Poop Issues

Is anyone having issues with your LO pooping? Aiden started out great with about 2 poops a day, but he hasn't had a poop for 2 days and is rumbly in the tummy. Any suggestions? This is new territory since DD pooped like a champ in infancy. Aiden seems uncomfortable and is trying to poop but nothing is happening. BTW, he is breastfed.

hmm...usually BF babes dont have constipation issues? Babe is pretty small yet-Levi started out pooping like every time he peed then it dropped to 1-2 a day usually but we went thru where he had small pebbles or didnt poop once w in 24 hrs and you can hear him try-so my pedi called in a stool softener for him which helps when he has that issue-we've used it twice. When Alex was small he had constipation issues to and I cant remember how old he was, maybe a month or so and the dr told us to give him a small amt of prune juice-So I would call your pedi and ask them for advice, and if you cant do anything for him you'll end up giving him a suppository if he doesnt go soon...

Right after I posted I looked for some remedies online. I ended up massaging his tummy and, sure enough, he pooped. It was green, though. Apparently, if you overproduce your milk (which I do) baby doesn't get a balance of foremilk and hindmilk which can cause gas, constipation, and green poops.

It's funny how interesting poop becomes when you are a parent.

Hmmm that is interesting. Theirs are green and yellow but i thought that was from their vitamin that has iron in it. I too overproduce. I swear I could feed 3 babies. LOL
