Still hurting from the C-section

hey girls...Soo Im still hurting from the C-section..everytime I sneeze..ughh its excrutiating...so I know they say 6 weeks but when will it stop hurting completley cause I hear other woman say it takes up to a year 0.o which would suck... Other than that Im feeling ok, just very emotional still..Trying to deal with that and hold back the emotions as much as I can.. I see myself getting emotional about everything.. ughh will this last forever??

I'm not sure on the csection question. Mine doesn't hurt anymore.

As for the emotional stuff, it will just take time. But you will go back to normal.

Mine is still sore sometimes, but only if I overdo it. I have 6 week checkup today.

And I agree about the emotional, it takes time. I would say if you are concerned, talk to your dr.

I am still hurting too. I have had a cough for the last 2 months and let me tell you, coughing and c sections don't mix.

I can't answer your question but I was curious as a new c-section club member. I hope yours stops hurting soon. As for the emotions, talk to your doctor- it may just be hormones but you could have a little PPD. Hopefully it all passes soon and you are feeling better physically and emotionally. Keep enjoying baby Emma!

I finally stopped huritng from sneezing around 4 wks i think and from lauging around 6 wks. And the emotions, I was really bad the first week to 2 wks, then it slows down a bit after that as the hormones leave, if it hangs around you might have PPD, Id talk to your dr. Honestly for the first two weeks i think I had a touch of PPD but it got better and I was able to overcome that, but in our situation there was a lot going on as well w a 4 yr old starting school and the NICU that first week...

if you have to sneeze/cough try to grab a pillow to hold against your scar or try to hold it w your hand, it helps a bit

Thanks soo much for all the advice ladies...Well my C-section is hurting less and less now..thank God..as far as the emotional side of this... Im feeling a bit better.. but I still get the urge to cry over stupid little things here and there..Like if DH says something to me about the baby or about anything really I feel like Im gonna burst into tears..Its crazy..Im a sensitive person as it is, my Hubby calls me his lil waterbucket because I tear up watching movies and stuff, but this is ridiculous...although I dont cry infront of anyone, I usually do it when I take a shower and Im alone cause I guess I want to show a strong front...but Im defintley gonna ask my Doctor about PPD just incase..
