    Question Is DH excited yet?

Maybe for the BTDT moms-to-be this is not relevant seeing as DH will be BTDT too....

For the FT moms-to-be is DH excited yet? When did he start to get excited about the pregnancy?

DH is excited, even though he's BTDT. He's nervous about being outnumbered, but he's also kissing my belly and saying "Hi, baby." He's mostly worried about the high potential for a long-distance move in the weeks before EDD. Hopefully he'll be able to be there for the birth. He's applying for university teaching positions, which will start in early Sept, of course.

Oh, I didn't mean that a BTDT dad wouldn't be excited, I was thinking more that he might get excited quicker/easier than a FT dad because he know's what's in store. (Although for some that might be a terrifying prospect )

My DH is a naturally reserved guy, but also tends to err on the side of pessimism. So even though I'm talking about the munchkin a lot already (as you can see I'm only 5 weeks today) he doesn't say anything. I feel I need to talk about it because I'm reminding myself it's real because I have no symptoms as yet.

DH is excited but I think it's hard for him to really get into it until he can feel baby move or see baby on an ultrasound. It must be kind of weird for them, like they are watching things happen but not really feeling it personally yet, unlike us.

I agree. It doesn't hold the same.... realness to them until later on. Right now my DH is just happy there is only one.

So you got confirmation that it's only one?? Congrats!

That is my DH's fear at the moment... multiples.
