outfit for baby
pacifier( I don't like the one they give)
car seat
night gown and slippers
pampers
wipes
blanket for baby
phone
camera....I always forget
head scarves
hair products
change of clothes
makeup...it is the first day that I actually feel beautiful
underwear

Last time my bag was thrown together was fast it wasn't funny. This time, I will pack a couple night clothes, change of street clothes. Products for me to use for washing and such. Camera and phone plus chargers. I didn't want pictures of her coming out of me and the same goes for this time around. I didn't even want my husband to hold my hand when pushing cause I grabbed the rails and bared down. It worked well since she came into this world with 4 pushes. The hospital provides a bag of diapers and wipes so I will need a couple of outfits for her and carseat plus blankets.

Must remember my ear phones for my phone. I like to listen to music when in labour.
Same at the rest really. Probably no dummy though, Miller wouldn't take one, and I actually found it a bit easier without. We'll see though.
Ultrathin maternity pads. I used the big fat ones with Harry once and couldn't sit down on them!
I ned to buy some microwavable heat packs. They were a godsend with Millers labour.

Ohh, this is making me all excited!!!

I never tried listening to music. I might have to try that. My labors are usually pretty fast although my last one was six hours and I thought I was gonna jump off the roof!! lol I should pack snacks for my husband and I think my oldest daughter will come this time. I am excited too!!

I have really lllooonnnnggg labours, so both heat packs and music were great. I liked having my ear phones in because I could just concentrate on that without having to listen to anyone else.

Snacks....very good idea!

I don't like my husband looking as if he is not doing anything, and I like it very quiet meaning I don't want him asking me every five minutes are you alright honey. It drives me nuts, so snacks I think will make him look busy, and keep him from feeling useless. Smile

With A&A I was in the hospital for a week and a half total-- A full week before I had them, then another 3.5 days. Fun stuff let me tell you. I literally didn't have a thing packed. We threw some stuff together on the way out of the door. Thank goodness we only lived about 3 min away from the hospital. We were supplied with everything we needed really---diapers and wipes, lanolin, onesies for babies. I stayed in the hospital gown... I never did think of bringing my own PJ's. And don't laugh, but I didn't even think about putting on a bra with nursing pads. I was SO TIRED, and sore... I think I finally made a comment to a nurse about how I needed more towels since I was leaking everywhere. She was really nice and said she would be happy to bring me some nursing pads if I had brought a nursing bra. Um HELLO?!?! Yes please! lol Smile Like I said I was too tired to think of anything beyond nursing them and trying to rest. This time I know what to expect and will be ready. I hope. Smile

Gosh, I haven't even thought of this yet. DD was a planned CS due to breech presentation. I'm really really hoping to VBAC this time but we need baby to be heads down. I notice he likes to be head up lately which makes me nervous. I know we still have plenty of time for his to turn but he really seems to like being heads up for the past 2 weeks or so. Sad Plus what I would pack for a CS would be slightly different (labor wise stuff) than for a VBAC.
