Have we talked about names?
Those of us finding out have all done so by now. So where is everyone at with deciding on a name?
We aren't going to announce the name to everyone until he/she arrives. But I'll go ahead and share with y'all.
If we have a boy we are going to name him Colin Marshall. My maiden name is Collins and Marshall is my granddaddy's and Daddy's 1st name and my oldest brother's middle name. (Aiden's middle name- James- is DH's dad's name).
If we have a girl we have chosen Kylah Ashlynn. It's a modern spelling of two Gaelic names meaning "beautiful" "dream". I fell in love with it when we chose names last time. (It would have been Ashlynn Kylah then..." I think the name is beautiful and very befitting since we didn't think we would be able to have one on our own. But I'm debating over whether or not to change it. Both DH's mom and my Mammaw (grandmother) are named Louise. My Mammaw has had two strokes, broken her hip, and had surgery from her bladder attaching to her uterus all since last spring. I know she won't be here much longer. And DH's mom isn't all there anymore... Suspecting dementia. Problem is that if I change one name, I'm not sure which. It would lose meaning in one way, but gain it in another....
My little boy is named Zachary James
Pretty sure DS will be named Liam Robert. DH and I both love Liam (we both have Irish backgrounds and love Ireland and been several times) and Robert is my dads name. We agreed long ago that we didn't want to do the junior thing so both kids have DHs last name (obviously) and then the middle name comes from somewhere on my side. DDs middle name is my grandmother's maiden name.
We aren't totally sure but I'm leaning towards... Katherine or Catherine or Kathleen. My husband has named the baby Kathleen on his baby app on his pad, he has a count down to when she's born. I am still not sure on a middle name though. I wanted to use my father's name to honor him as he's no longer with us. His name was Mikel pronounced micheal but I haven't gotten the best feed back on a girls middle name being male.
My little sister's middle name was almost Whitridge (my grandfather's name). Thankfully, my mom was pretty out of it after delivery and agreed to the 2nd choice name when my dad was filling out the birth certificate. My older sister and I have family names which are definitely not girl names, but I guess could maybe be considered gender neutral.
I think Mikel would be a lot better than Whitridge (and better than my middle name, too). But you could try Michelle or Mikayla if you're hesitant. I think that would still honor your father.

I would LOVE to chat about my names on here, but I'm not sure if I have friends or family that know I'm on here, so they may see. I like to keep them secret until birth.
I like Pico's idea.

Baby #3 due Oct 1st!!
We have one name left over from my three year old besides Saara that my husband likes. Isra pronounced Es-rah. I love the name!!! We don't announce the name until seven days after she is born. So I'm sure there will be many other names we will throw around until them.
My daughter's middle name is Jolyn, for my mother, Jo, and my father, Lynn (both middle names). I'm lucky that my father had Lynn as a middle name, I guess, I wasn't a fan of his first name for any of my own children!
It seems we're having girl #6 (!!!), her name will be Maya Nicole. In case of mis-diagnosis (lol) it's Jonathen Carter.
