Since we are half way there

Thought it would be nice to start sharing some things we have and/or plan to get. I gave all of my stuff away as I thought my daughter would be my last. Well three years later here I am. I am a planner so I have already started collecting things from here and there. I feel very lucky as we have two events in our town for selling slightly used baby items. Beegreen and Weeplay. I attended both and got some pretty neat stuff. So maybe we can start a pic thread of things we got and post it to share. I will take some pics of the things I got once I learn how to post from my phone to photo bucket. Please join me.

Since this babies aren't too far apart and both are girls, I'm using the clothing again, of course. I have gotten a few new outfits for her though. I will need a double stroller. I want the kind where the older child can seat or stand though. I still need one more car seat, the bigger kind for all of our cars and my momma's. I will buy a few more bottles. I actually bought formula that was on sale that won't expire until next year in case my milk dries up fast again.

We got rid of everything when we moved from a three bedroom to a two bedroom, honestly thinking we were done. Surprise! So we have bought a bassinet and some clothing for Zack, but that's it so far.

We loaned most of our stuff out, and it's starting to come back to us now. I bought an old Emmuljunga bassinet pram of eBay to use as a bassinet. Really, we just need some newborn clothes to start with for early on. But I don't want to buy too much as we wont know if it's a boy of girl 'til D-Day. Oh, and a new cot mattress, we need a new one. That's about ir really, the rest of the stuff is just extra stuff that's nice to have, but not necessary if you get what I mean.

I bought some baby clothing the day I found out she was a girl. Someone gave me a bassinet. I bought a swing from craigslist and I bought a vibrating chair form Burlington Coat factory on sale. I purchased a Babybjorn carrier at a tag sale for one dollar! I could not believe it and it is in immaculate condition. I also was given a Graco stroller and car seat combo, but I will purchase a new stroller and car seat as I like the Graco Myride which we have for my three year old so I will probably get another one like that. I need the basic stuff but I will buy that stuff as I go along or if I catch it on sale. I will post some pic when I get the energy!! lol

I got the high chair today. Found one at kmart and used my rewards points so overall it was almost the cost of a used one.

I have just recently-- within the past few weeks-- bought some outfits for the baby. I have nb and 0-3 mo onesies. One is a set with a sweater and pants. I know that we will have some friends excited to find out the gender at birth that they will gladly pick up some gender specific outfits for us right away.

We got rid of most of our baby items since DH didn't want another one at the time. We wouldn't have been able to use much of the same clothes anyway since it was winter when they were born and we will still have nearly 3 months to go before the cold hits us this time. We did keep the double bassinet PNP that we will use again this time for the first few months. We kept and Exersaucer that is a 3 in 1, so we can use it for tummy time. A friend of mine is going to loan us a swing.. or was it the bouncy? Could have been both... We still have both infant seats, so we are good there. I don't need another baby bed since A&A will be done with the ones we have at my mom's right now (she's their "daycare"). We use cloth diapers, though I think I might get some nb size prefolds to use the first few weeks until he/she really grows into the one size pockets we have. I plan on bf again, so I'll need to check my pump to make sure it still works and order some new tubes for it. We have plenty of bottles! After all, we had enough for two. (SO glad they hardly used them though. That would have been a lot to wash/sanitize.) Instead of getting all new stuff for the baby, we are going to use the same nursery decor that we did for A&A and get them something new instead.

So I guess the things we are planning on getting are:

-stroller frame for infant seat to snap into such as this one Amazon.com: Graco SnugRider Elite: Baby
-thinking of getting this swing frame to put at my mom's Amazon.com: Graco Baby SnugGlider Infant Car Seat Swing Frame: Baby
-A combined swing/bouncy such as Amazon.com: Graco DuetConnect LX Swing + Bouncer, Finley: Baby Or Amazon.com: Graco DuetSoothe Swing + Rocker, Winslet: Baby
-Infant bath tub
-Glider/rocker for the nursery. (last time we just had an arm chair... not so comfortable)
-We will need new outfits and burp cloths too.

We have a HUGE children's consignment sale that goes on here in town twice a year. The next sale is in August, so I'll get whatever else we need then.

Sounds great Danielle! My eighteen year old surprised me yesterday with a bag of NB diapers and three t-shirts. He picked these things out all by himself and had them mail it to me. I was so surprised and filled with so much emotion. I'm lazy guys I still have not took any pictures. Smile

Wow ladies. I haven't bought anything yet. Though we did save almost everything from DD and all big items are gender neutral so we are good there. Right now I'm just trying to survive the end of the school year. 14 days to go and counting.

So I went stroller browsing and end up buying the Graco signature 3 in 1 modular stroller. I really wanted the sit and stand but it was just to big and bulky and my three year walks just fine!! In fact she walks so great that we almost make her get in the stroller:) So here is a picture of it that I got off line. What do you guys think? Oh yeah it was on clearance for $170 and I had a 20% off coupon so I only paid $147. Can't beat that!!

No just the stroller. I have a Graco infant car seat that I will use for a month or so and then I plan on buying another Graco My ride the newer version. I love my three year old Myride and she is a long child so I have been using it with her since she was three months.
