I just got back from a "tree audit" in Louisiana outside of Shreveport. (I do reforestation work and needed to make sure some trees my org had planted a few years ago are alive and well.) Is anyone from there? Can I just say that there is nothing like the smell of fried alligator and in depth discussion on how to make squirrel pot pie to make the pregnant lady blow chunks! I am so so happy to be home. It is going to take a few days for my stomach to recover!!!!!!
The trees are good! Actually, very popular hunting grounds. Had one guy said it was the best duck hunting he ever did. We planted 1200 acres and it is open to the public for recreation - which in this area is primarily hunting. This was the 5 year check. We are committed to the trees survivability for 100 years.
But yeah, the sickness is horrible. Can't wait for the 2nd trimester.
